“Godzilla is the son of the atomic bomb. He is a nightmare created out of the darkness of the human soul. He is the sacred beast of the apocalypse. As long as the arrogance of human beings exist, Godzilla will survive.” - Tomoyuki Tanaka

that interview will never not be haunting and will only get more terrifying in age. That man looks and speaks with the weight of his entire conscience on his head. Add the imagry you did and you have a sombering video.

An analog horror series had this quote in one of the videos but distorted. The series is called “Than Man in The Suit.” It’s basically about a man becoming a real Godzilla and he quotes this.

Somewhere in a Parallel Universe: “To whoever is reading this, I am a scientist from the Manhattan Project and a correspondent to Tokyo, Japan. Two years ago of July 16, 1945, we successfully detonated a powerful bomb by splitting the atoms, creating a powerful chain reaction. We have become the first nation to create a weapon by harnessing the power of the atom. A month later on August 6, we first used this weapon on Hiroshima, Japan for two reasons: 1) to demonstrate the power on the enemy, and 2) end the war as fast as possible to prevent the upcoming invasion of Japan. The new weapon decimated Hiroshima in seconds. But despite this, Japan didn’t surrender. We used the power of the atom again on August 9, this time on Nagasaki. Six days later, Japan finally surrendered. We felt very proud of ourselves and our country. But Oppenheimer, the Los Alamos Laboratory Director, doesn’t feel satisfied. A year later, we tested the weapon on a fleet of obsolete warships, both allies and axis, in the South Pacific. Months later, the USS Redfish was sunk, and other naval vessels were destroyed. What we didn’t know was that a prehistoric monster from the Jurassic Era was in the area. I was sent to Tokyo to speak to Professor Kyohei Yamane in hopes that he might know something about it. When I arrived to Tokyo, I saw it. A dinosaur that looked like a tyrannosaurus, an iguanodon and a stegosaurus. It measured about 50m tall. It turns out that the dinosaur was the one responsible for the destruction of the USS Redfish and other naval vessels in the Pacific. I have never seen a creature this big. My mind was full of amazement, but also terror. This dinosaur is highly territorial and aggressive. It destroyed any building and killed anyone that stood in its path. I watched in horror as the residents were crushed by its feet. I ran for my life until their tanks arrived in attempt to kill this creature. Then, I saw something that will NEVER leave me. The dorsal plates on the creature started glowing, so too its mouth and shot an incandescent flame at the tanks and created an explosion… an explosion that looked similar to the explosion on July 16 of 1945. I soon realized what we had done; we became Prometheus and took the sacred fire forbidden by Zeus, and used it to terrible purposes. My god… what have we done…”
