17 monsters, this will/can be the gold standard going forward for any Godzilla movies. This trailer just had me amazed as the kid who used to watch all the old Tokyo films on Saturday's. Oh an agree 110% on the start after all this....... after taking on most of these with King G himself.... Godzilla better WHIP Kong's a$$ quick fast and in a hurry to make up for that horrible 1960's version with Kong "winning." There better be a dead, cooked monkey if that film ever happens after this film, period point blank :). Horrible? Dude that movie was the shit in the 60’s. By today’s standards it’s cheesy yeah but it’s still one of the greatest classic monster fights of all time. You guys are just triggered Kong won. And seriously what is up with your hatred for him? Seriously! Is it because he won in the original? Or is it also because “oh he would just loose because he isn’t indestructible” excuse? And YES of course they had to give him a size buff and loads of extra durability to stand a chance against Godzilla. So excited for Godzilla resurgence. When Godzilla V Kong was released it had two endings. In Japan it showed Kong walking away in the water (retreating) with Godzilla roaring in triumph. In the American version it’s King roaring to insinuate that Kong was walking away after being victorious. So really... it was a draw? Also, I predict a huge brawl between the two then they team up to fight something bigger.

As such, the standards for the film itself don’t need to be as high- the film is going to do well no matter what. To be fair to Kong: Skull Island. That movie took place in the 70's while this Godzilla is taking place in Modern Day. And in Kong John C Reilly said "Kong's a growing boy." so he can get big enough to be a challenge to Godzilla. Who knows?
