The toys are very nicely designed, but with the exception of the middle sized Godzilla, they are distressingly fragile. My kid tore Ghidorah apart. I ordered the Bandai vinyl one as an import. Admittedly it was a lot more $$$ but at least it can be used by a younger kid and not be a pile of parts by the end of the day. I also REALY wish this trend of the tails being in chunks would end immediately. My kids wanted to take the small figures in the tub with them and the tails fall off because the rubber is soft and the ball joints aren't nearly tight enough to compensate. We lost one tale down the drain. All of which is a shame because the figures look great.

I picked up the three small double boxes. I didn't really need all the Godzillas, but it's cool. The mothra is ok, the Rodan and Godzillas are good, but the Gidorah was just awesome. It's friggin huge. Its a bit of a pain to get to stand, but for the price it's the best Gidorah I've gotten.

Technically, Ghidorah is in scale with the 3.5 inch Godzilla, Rodan, and Mothra. However, the 6 inch Rodan can scale with your standard 6 inch Godzilla and Mothra figures as well as any 8 inch Ghidorah you may have.

How do the 6" figs scale with NECA?

They will be small compared to NECA. Given that King Ghidorah is so much bigger than Godzilla in the movie, I think the 3.5 inch Godzilla scales with the 6 inch Ghidorah. It looks like same same might be true with Rodan, because the 6 inch Rodan is actually about 4 inches tall.

So I got the 6 inch Ghidorah and Rodan, and it's different from yours for some reason. My Rodan only came with the Helicopter, and my Ghidorah only came with the Stealth Jet, your figures came with both. Both my Rodan and Ghidorah only came with One building tucked away in the corner, yours came with two buildings displayed at the front of the box. And most grievously, my Ghidorah didn't have any paint application at all save for some sloppily painted white dots for eyes, your Ghidorah has paint inside the mouth and subtle black airwash throughout the figure. What gives? Did Jakks make 2 different sets with the same figures? Did I somehow get a prototype or something? I feel like my Walmart freaking cheated me!

We reviewed samples provided by Jakks Pacific. I have been looking for the toys at local Walmart stores, but so far I have not found them (my area tends to get stuff late). I'll look again and report any differences. I am surprised to hear there are differences. It was our intention to review what people would find on the shelves.

I believe the Jakks Mothra is roughly half the size of the NECA and SHMA ones. It might even be smaller than that. Hopefully the NECA one will be out in about a month!
