Went to see it last night with a friend who, unlike me, is not a Godzilla/kaiju fan. We both cried, and the audience applauded at the end. This a first for me, and we didn't even know until after how small the budget was. Incredible. Must be seen on a big screen with great speakers, as the soundtrack is amazing.

This movie absolutely blew me away! Not only was the Godzilla action sequences incredibly intense and suspenseful while being a spectacle of fun, but the characters they developed in the story were actually enjoyable and well fleshed out. I was enthralled the entire time. It is one of my favourites of the year! Great review, and keep up the great work on this awesome content, Matt 👍.

I also liked the fact that we get to see Godzilla right away. In other movies, we have to wait like 30 minutes for Godzilla to make an appearance. But in this one, we see Godzilla in action really quick.

I agree, so happy that we got to see Godzilla right away in the first 3 minutes of the film. They just jump right into the action

I saw this last night with my son and it was awesome! I got on my son’s nerves bec I guessed the two big reveals early and kept whispering to him “oh…I’ll bet…” or “I know what that is about!” And then I had to whisper “aaah I told you! I knew there was…” or bouncing in my seat whispering “I knew it! I knew it!” 😂. Also, during the climax, when it was completely silent, I found myself holding my breath! This wasn’t just a great Godzilla movie…..it’s a great movie movie! Everyone will love it even if you don’t know anything about Godzilla.

I've watched Godzilla films since i was a wee lad. I'm 22 now and have been loving all of the recent films but man. Godzilla Minus 1 is by far the most engaging , thought provoking, suspenseful godzilla film to date. I loved shin godzilla but its blown out of the water by minus 1. This will be THE godzilla film of the 21st century.

Last year Prey was my favorite film and so far it looks like Godzilla minus one might be my favorite this year. 2 familiar monsters done right, especially with the human storyline.

L-O-V-E-D the movie ! The story was so good I was bummed when they went away from it for the Godzilla parts. When I was a kid we had a Saturday at noon TV show called 'Creature Double Feature' (Boston area). Every Saturday 2 monster movies. Godzilla, Rhodan, Creature from the Black Lagoon, etc...the Japanese setting kinda brought me back to those days. Loved the subtitles.....added to the authenticity. REALLY GOOD flick....go see. This film deserves your $$.

This shit was FIRE 🔥. I legit was so invested in the story. Godzilla was terrifying. He was a god..and didnt give two shits about balance...just pure force of nature..like a volcano. The ending had me choked up...and in awe

Godzilla Minus One isn't a great Godzilla movie. Godzilla Minus One is a great movie that happens to have Godzilla in it! I'm 51 years old. I've been a fan of these movies since I was 3. This is the first time I was DREADING seeing Godzilla show up to fuck shit up!

I remember back then they played Godzilla every Saturday (mid 80s) In 2014 on Crackle I was able to watch every Godzilla movie. Some I saw more than once. I'm excited for #GMO Was watching a vid with spoilers... I had to stop😂😂

it was a masterpiece. you know, looking back the monsterverse godzilla kotm 2019, i realized that one had the potential to be the best godzilla film or atleast one of the best. if only they wrote the story right, and the characters. i just dont buy the grieving mother crap. such a wasted pontential.

The main character's last name is 「Shikishima」which is an ancient name for Japan ... so when you hear people screaming his name in the movie they are saying " Japan! Japan! " ...
