tbh that trilogy was supposed to keep its distance from any other Godzilla media on purpose by Toho and the directors. The company wanted to try something new and experimental while the monsterverse is taking the classic kaiju brawl route, which should be the same case for SP. The difference is that the trilogy tried it so hard it eventually failed when SP still paid tons of homage and respect while being of its own genre.

I love that they even pay homage to the actors of Zilla. After recently binge-watching Godzilla the series it’s actually kinda interesting to see those characters from a different art style (and they look much more like the movie iterations here, Godzilla the series was very loose with their designs. Still a good show though)

I mean in SP, he probably never made the Oxygen Destroyer, which is why he (or some descendants) are alive. The Oxygen Destroyer does have an SP counterpart called the Orthagonal Diagonalizer, which attacks the red dust composing the kaiju, with it converts the clouds into spikes of red or blue crystal depending on how successful activation is.
