@@DeadManSinging1 That's questionable. In the first movie and in Shin Godzilla, the monster is neither good nor bad. He is a force of nature. It's a consequence of human actions. Godzilla became "a good guy" to make the franchise profitable and sell more films, according to the director himself.

This video got me thinking of how to add godzilla into the context of a lovecraft world. I think it would make sense for godzilla to be a serpent man experiment. Because they always were under the shadow of the more advanced races with atomic weapons and godzilla could be their attempt at making atomic weapons. Like they made the snake god.

Tangentially-related question regarding Star-Spawn psychic influence. In 'A Wrinkle in Time', the protagonists meet an alien intelligence that's conditioned a planet of people into rote, robotic obedience and is seen enforcing its control through logic and mathematics-based means (it encourages the protagonists to recite multiplication tables, which the protagonists counter by reciting poetry and songs to enforce creativity and emotionally-based freedom of thought). In the Call of Cthulhu story, we see the opposite--it's the artists and dreamers and people less connected to the hard lines of our own reality that are most affected by Cthulhu rolling over in his sleep. So my question would be, are logical, analytical people somewhat less vulnerable to psychic influence (with their thoughts and perceptions rooted so strongly in a solid understanding of our own physical laws and causality) and, knowing that mundane geometry also has power in the mythos (the Hounds of Tindalos travelling through angles) could keeping one's thoughts focused on things like mathematics and scientific formulas, and perhaps surrounding oneself with Euclidean geometrical patterns, help stave off the madness and controlling influence of a Star-Spawn?

Cthulhu is an emissary of a highly advanced civilization. Not only does he have followers, they have access to weapons technology which we cannot even imagine. Even if Godzilla is pretty buff it would only take a few minutes for the Big C to come up with a weapon that will turn Godzilla into the world's largest pair of alligator shoes and matching luggage. Very interesting points, though Godzilla doesn't always travel alone, (Mothra, Rodan, etc). Also, Godzilla lore continually gains new shenanigans; the city melting Mothra power-up from King of Monsters comes to mind. I haven't seen Shin Godzilla yet, but apparently when he dies, he just becomes a new bigger Godzilla. Maybe Cthulhu is a final/ alt form of Shin Godzilla? Either way, though I don't have an atom of your Cthulhu knowledge, I'm giving it to Godzilla. Hard to go up against a guy who has a giant Ape with a magic axe as a side-kick. As to weather or not Cthulhu could be destroyed by Godzilla, (or advanced humans) Even most humans, with a decent number of tricks at their disposal, don't go out of their way to kick a hornets nest. Just because you survive, doesn't mean it wont hurt a lot. And how have cartoons taught us to avoid stinging swarms? You hide under water.

During Geoff Johns' New 52 run Aquaman was hit with a hail of bullets. Most of them bounced off him, but that's because they hit his Atlantean armor. One though managed to nick him on the head, and when he turns back towards his enemies a small trail of blood can be seen coming down.” Source: www.google.com/amp/s/comicbook.com/dc/amp/news/aquaman-director-can-arthur-be-hurt-by-bullets/ You really need to do more research in the DC Comics. It’s widely said that Presence is the supreme creator of the DC Multiverse. If your talking about the Overvoid, just saying your wrong. Presence created everything while Overvoid watches them all. Sure it can be assumed that Thanos became the ruler of the Marvel Multiverse, however the problem is we know what TOAA is capable of, comics before. Darkseid was defeated by Doomsday, however the main problem is that there’s only one Darkseid which is he’s true form. And to get this out of the way, both writers of the issue said the same thing. Cthuhlu however would recognize that while Godzilla can't 'properly' kill it, Big G can be enough of an obstacle that it can't afford to just ignore and go about its business. YMMV on if Cthuhlu would recognize in time that Godzilla is a threat greater than 'oh my that ia BIG animal that could go stompy stompy all over the cultists doing my bidding' or, if this is the Monsterverse with the Hollow Earth and all, recognize what Godzilla is and 'Aw crhist i thought all of these got killed off.
