I’ve been watching the old classic Godzilla movies since I was a kid. The 28 films that ran from 1954-2004. This film was a certified love letter to me and all the other OG Godzilla fans like me and I loved it. I don’t care what the arrogant stupid critics say, this film was the best in the Monsterverse so far and way better than the following two films combined!!!

I saw this movie during a dark time in my life, first time i ever went to see a movie solo, saw towards the end of its movie cycle so the theater wasnt as packed, i had good seats, the endorphins this movie gave me was what i needed at the time, such a masterpiece for the monsterverse.

Was this part of the movie a tribute to DBZ?? Literally Godzilla went super Saiyan mode, specifically to Vegeta and his explosion of energy??

No, in the 1995 movie, Godzilla vs Destoroyah, Godzilla faces his toughest opponent. And from 1985-1995 he's absorbed so much radiation he went into a nuclear meltdown. "Burning Godzilla." The pulses (explosions) are a reference too the end of the movie, when he explodes and the earth is destroyed.
