Awesome reaction Mikayla!! I think that the Mechagodzilla is made from the remains of an ancient Godzilla from the first movie. Thats why our Godzilla is angered and retaliates against humanity for disrespecting his kind. Thus Kong is used by the humans to battle Godzilla

It seems that kong is on the boat willingly, earlier in the trailer they mentioned that they needed him, and with him bieng able to communicate with the girl she must've explained to him why kong is needed

My theory is the are making Mecha Godzilla with the Orca. That's what is provoking Godzilla. Someone else said they are making Mecha Godzilla with King Ghidorah head from KOTM. Could be both.

I'm pretty excited for this movie. I watched the 1962 film King Kong vs Godzilla last year and really enjoyed it so seeing these two fight again really makes me excited for this movie. It would of been cool if we had mechanikong from King Kong escapes make an appearance in this move so we could have a monster vs machine tag team fight. Also I'm very excited for mechagodzilla not too crazy for the design though seems kinda generic.

I understand why people didn't like the first Godzilla (2014), but it was absolutely perfect for me. It made Godzilla *real* in a way I just couldn't imagine prior to seeing it. Viewing the incidents primarily from the perspective of the relatively ordinary people in the movie really brought me into the world. The Halo Jump is one of my favorite sequences in film, period. And the final showdown of the film was worth my patience; it was so visceral, well-filmed, and choreographed. I quite liked Skull Island, as well. The weak one for me was King of the Monsters, which felt sloppy in comparison to the other two. Yeah, it had more monsters, but the action was mostly nonsensical, just like the human story of the film. I really disliked the ending, also, which kind of ret-conned the ending to the first film (re: the parasites relationship to Godzilla). Either way, I'm super hyped for this new one. It's not the creative team behind KotM, so I'm pretty darn optimistic.

@@movieswithmikayla - I HATED that 1998 disaster from TriStar. It was Godzilla in name only. For me, the best G-film is still the original 1954 Japanese Gojira. In the trailer, you can a glimpse of Mechagodzilla @ 1:05. And you see his blueprints @ 2:43. Maybe that's what is provoking Godzilla - he's punishing those responsible.
