I think the other reason why this fits so well is mostly because the movie itself was inspired by the more campier elements from the Showa era and have insane ideas and visuals that could've easily been part of that era.

My conclusion is that it is the worst trilogy by a land slide.

Literally the only people who think the Showa series is the worst era are chronically insecure normies with zero taste and no real love or appreciation for the art and passion that goes into these films. The Showa films didn’t dip in quality till the 70’s and even then you had at least two really well made films in Hedorah and TOMG, and pure fun from Gigan and Mechagodzilla. Compare that to the Heisei era where every film after Biollante got progressively worse in both writing and SFX. The majority of fans who actually give a shit about Tokusatsu and engage with this genre on a deeper level than fast forwarding their DVD’s to get to monster fights like slack jawed middle schoolers know the Showa joints are kino.

Some of the same sounds, yes, but I've never heard King Caesar do the same final long roar that the '62 Showa Kong is known for. Kong has done a shorter tiger growl that he usually does as a short call or a short grunt, but when Kong uses it, it's more in its raw form, whereas when King Caesar uses it, it's more processed and altered.

There was a panel at G-FEST some years back where they said how the different Toho Kaiju sounds were created. Kong is supposed to be a combination of a lion, an elephant, and thunder.

@@1963mathetes Kong's shorter grunt/growls sound more like a tiger growl, but I'm guessing you're referring to the long roar that Kong does? If so, I can definitely see the elephant roar being used in it. I wish they still had the source sounds available for listening before they edited and processed them.

@@user-roninwolf1981 Kong's main roar is used, I believe, once, in GvMG 74. It is altered as you mentioned before, but it's definitely there. I think it's the moment when Godzilla, MechaGodzilla and King Caesar have their first face off when MG is in the middle with his head is turned backwards towards KC.
