Is it true that Godzilla won this fight in the version of the movie shown in Japanese theaters? When I was a kid, I read that here in North America the distributor changed the ending so Kong won.
@MrEjidorie21 күн бұрын
@@christophergoldrup9695 At the last scene of “King Kong vs Godzilla”, only King Kong surfaced while Godzilla did not emerge. So I thought King Kong had won the battle against Godzilla when I was a 6 years old kindergartener.
@supamilkchanbitches373015 күн бұрын
@@christophergoldrup9695 you know the japanese version has be available to get for yrs now but anyways no that's a myth but the real lore is that godzilla did actually lose and its supposed dead body had washed ashore in the nxt story/film Mothra vs. GojiLA then it woke up and started rampaging again... that's how the movie was suppose to go but they scrapped that and just went with it coming out of the ground basically out of no where and separating itself from the last film

It's hilarious how Godzilla knocks Kong out twice, the big monkey never actually hurts him, and yet Toho says Kong is the "official" winner of the fight. That was clearly to assuage American sensibilities. Godzilla won. We all know it.
@paulpolpiboon953518 күн бұрын
Assuage American sensibilities?? Uhh, No. If there's any assuaging it's towards the respect for your elders and your fore father. There is NO Battlestar Galactica without Star Wars. There is NO Marvel without DC. There is no Freddy without Jason. There is no Predator without Alien. Notice how respect is always given to the elder who founded them as they are the ones that always win. There is NO Godzilla.... without KING KONG. THE. WINNER.

When America was making James Bond, Japan made these. Of course, these were much more popular with the younger children, like myself. Now older myself, I recognize that Japanese parents were, and in my somewhat limited experience with asians, and are much more concerned with their children’s happiness and future than their own. I guess it’s a cultural thing. After all, it was an American generation (the boomers) that spent 30 TRILLION USD of its children’s future revenue on its own comfort and future.
@dashtoroya283820 күн бұрын
America wasn't making James bond. British were. America was making stupid cowboy western movies(which was outdone by an Italian director with his dollars trilogy) But yeah, japanese or asian parents as a whole are strict so that their children would have a better concentrated life with discipline and concentration on their goals, while Americans and Europeans are still to this day are robbing their children of a better future for their own greed and proceeds to blame them on their inability.
