Because from the graphic novels, when Kong was just a newborn baby, he witnessed the deaths of his parents at the teeth and claws of the Skull-crawlers. I know some folks weren't happy that Skar King showed up so late in the movie, but damn does he make the most of his screen time. Some suggestions for how he could have shown up sooner without taking away from his big reveal; 1. show more of the attack at Outpost One, no full body images, but enough to recognize him later 2. later have a scene with some captured humans in his throne room. obviously he can't actually interrogate them, but he might dangle them over the fire for his amusement.

I say that would be because Godzilla doesn't mess around and goes straight to the opponent, adding that all or most of the Kongs move away. PS: And although Godzilla for obvious reasons doesn't care about Kong's species, I still don't think he'd like to see what Scar does.

I have always pictured how big the other kongs and hollow earth creatures if they were on the surface. They would be gigantic if they were in a city (with humans as well). When it’s just them in hollow earth, they look small

As a Godzilla fan, this was probably my favourite part of the film. Kong was such a badass here, the other kongs smashing the ground in sync with the music, and the fight itself, it’s all just *chefs kiss*
