This is a sold final trailer for Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire while having a 10 year tribute to the whole Monsterverse series. In all seriousness, 10 years of the Monsterverse, that is a big accomplishment right there for an American Godzilla series and becoming a kaiju cinematic universe that introduced Godzilla’s classic Kaiju foes and allies with King Kong being a part of the universe as well. The Monsterverse began in 2014 and that film got me into the Godzilla franchise and the kaiju/giant monster genre.

This is definitely what a 70 year franchise needs to help push and keep it goin for the next 30. In my opinion lol, without the monster verse we probably wouldn't have gotten shin nor minus one, at the very least with the same scope/scale of popularity. Can't wait what's next to come from this franchise whether it's the OG Toho, the Lengendary dou of WB, and who knows who else might get a chance to share their story.

It's was a decent trailer.. There's definitely a few things to infer from this trailer... But that's also because of knowing leaks.. I'm really quite happy that there's still at least 3 Kaiju/Titans that haven't been shown except for very fleeting and innocuous shots in the trailer. I really hope that Minus 1.0 being so successful and appearing at the Academy Awards gets more eyes on this movie.. it's going to be epic and definitely please those of us that love monster battles/scenes.... Just hopefully they've written killer moments between the humans that'll please the plebs too.

"Ten years" it's been over fifty years since I used to rush home from school (in the late 60s), to meet with a friend/neighbor to tune in Japanese language (UHF) television out of San Francisco to watch "Ultraman" (thank you Eiji Tsumuraya) even though neither of us understood Japanese. As always*, thank you so very much for the videos. (*including all the videos I watch, and "Like", but fail to comment on.) It causes me to wonder: Are they planning some sort of "special" movie for 2029? (Godzilla's 75th Anniversary.)

I love Godzilla and im happy over the past few years he's been well received from ppl, he's prob my favorite fictional character ever. So it was pretty hard being a fan in the early 2000s when he was kinda a meme before that word even existed lol. Strictly from a US fan perspective, however with all that being said i hope the MV can continue but with a better marketing team. Wasnt the biggest fan of how this film and GvK was marketed. Feels like they revealed way to much reminds me of BvS when they revealed Doomsday and WW. No need to reveal Shimo, and if your marketing Skar King as the big bad dont show clips of him gettin whooped constantly. Last point huge Kong fan but if the rumors are true that Legendary has 1 last film after this one. Plz make Godzilla the focal point a solo the MV started with Zilla ended with him.... If the rumors are true.

Hey DMan, a while ago you were talking on the second trailer and were wondering why Godzilla was glowing blue when he swam into the ocean. As well as how he was able to exact a pulse. Well I thought of a theory. So we know Godzilla attacks that Nuclear Power plant in the trailer, so absorbing that radiation allowed him to release that energy, but I believe that those 2 shots are played one after the other. The one where he swims into the ocean is the following morning and that’s when he goes to evolve.

The last thing about GxK I’ve been hyped for is the music. GvK has one of my favorite Monsterverse scores by far, so the composer returning had me excited. This new track has not helped. It’s too synthy and I was hoping they’d use more of the 1962 theme like at the end of the first trailer. But no. Just generic synth.

The Monsterverse are the perfect definition of the principle that 'less is more'. Instead of oversaturating and giving us like 3-5 movies a year, which Marvel did at their peak, they are only giving us ONE film every 2-3 years approximately. But this makes every single one of these movies a MAIN EVENT - I cannot recall being this excited for any movie in my lifetime since I was a child and we got the 'annual Disney blockbuster' (Aladdin, Lion King, Hunchback, Tarzan etc) back in the 1990s. This brings the same level of hype and excitement as The Lion King did back in 1994 for me. So in that sense, they have actually done a good job at keeping us on our toes. Oversaturation can end up killing a franchise, as it can eventually lead to fatigue or the storytelling crumbling under its own weight.
