Thanks for profiling this game. What are your thoughts on the series rules having application for generating one's own battles?

Probably pretty good? At the moment you'd be limited to the current map and counter set, and I don't see a "point system" for counter values, but I'd think you'd be able to adopt them to other battles with the right materials. The very short rule set specific to Albuera is encouraging in this regard.

I have the 1st ed, and the map for the new version is much better. The old one was very dark. I think I prefer the La Batt style of counters in the 1st edition, but I think the new ones will be easier to read and allow one better to distinguish the sides. It’s nice they are offering 1st edition owners a discount in the upcoming crowd funding campaign. Good to see someone spotlighting this system.

I really like the creative map design on this one, I'm not familiar with what the prior one looked like but that's great to hear that you think it's better. And I wasn't aware of the discount to 1st Edition owners, that's great to know! :)

Looks great! Mounted map, unit uniforms cav inf arty. Nappy put his brother on the throne of Spain pissing the world off. The French did not do well in Spain. All French marechels there were mediocre. He should have put Davout in charge of Spain.
