Hey there! I really liked the video, it was super informative. Just to share my experience with this case, I'm using the Thermalright Assassin Mini and I made a small adjustment by positioning the CPU fan as intake to get some air from the rear. It worked really well and dropped my CPU temperature by about 7 degrees. If you're using an air cooler, the B configuration is definitely the way to go.

You are a top-notch builder and engineer. Very happy to come across your channel and support/subscribe to you. I just suggested this exact case to an online friend of mine and helped walk him through his very first build (he's only 19 years old) over a discord video call. He did great. He only has cable management left to do, and walking him through that over a video call would be rough, so I told him to just do his best :) Intuitively, I had him go with the "A" setup in your video for the fan directions. It makes logical sense with cool air coming in from down low, and hot air escaping from the top. Fighting nature is usually going to come with consequences. All of which you showed perfectly in your tests. Keep up the great content!

Some more details addressing fitment in your Part I & II videos: We were able to have the AIO at the top with the tubes near the back. No interference with the rear exhaust fan. We set the PSU cage to the middle setting. We were able to install 3 fans at the bottom intaking air. Although we got an ATX PSU; we were able to massage the PSU cables so that they do not interfere with the lower fan near the front of the case. We oriented the PSU to pull in air from the front of the case. This works well because the cool air comes in and shoots up and through the front radiator fan. It's all tight, but beautiful. Easily my favorite MATX case.

Great tests to see. Only flaw in the methodology I can see is taking an average of the absoulte Min/Max temp/speed for the results. It allows short spikes in the temperature to have a large effect of the final result (e.g. if it was 79 for 99% of the test but spiked to 81 for 1% that could be better than sitting at 80 for 100% of the test)

Thanks very much for such thorough testing; very interesting and useful. I don't know, but I imagine that A is drawing air in from the side and (possibly) front mesh panels so it is negative pressure in the case. Wouldn't it be worth running B for neutral or slightly positive pressure, given that the essential difference is power draw? Also, along a similar train of thought, would there be a benefit to separating the GPU and CPU with a blanking plate of some kind above the GPU? Maybe this might reduce mingling of hot GPU exhaust and cooler air in and around the case.

Hi Herbaceorus Boredome, welcome to my channel. yes you do have a point but for me, i normally do cleaning every 2 weeks to keep fans tip top, radiator clean and the case free from dust. @KleoYan Жыл бұрын
Hi Rolando Villegas, welcome to my channel, if you are referring to the bottom as 3 x 120mm fans. you might have some issues to fit the fan below your PSU. it depends on your PSU Size. in general if able to populate 3 x 120mm intake from the bottom, your GPU will enjoy more cooling as for CPU, it's very minimal.
@CoffeeGameMovie Жыл бұрын
I would love to saw a version where u dont even use bottom intake fans at all. In theory i think they are useless, because: 1. their airflow completely blocked by the GPU, 2. GPU fans do exactly to the same thing as pulling air from the bottom. Its seems redundant to me, like putting fans on top of each other... they just pulling air from bottom but GPU fans doing exactly the same.
@KleoYan Жыл бұрын
Hi @CoffeeGameMovie, welcome to my channel. I would do that but I have returned this case. But with your info of what you have mentioned. It make sense. Can go without the bottom fans. If you do have a go for it. Do let us know the result. Thank you.
@baileyrosmarin1077 Жыл бұрын
Not quite. In a completely sealed environment you’d be correct. However in a mesh case there is virtually no pressure difference between the inside and outside, so those gpu fans will suck in the air with the least resistance. With extra fans on the bottom to do the heavy lifting of pulling air through the filter and pushing it directly into the gpu everything is happy. But if there are no bottom fans the gpu will source air from anywhere it can, and that will almost never be through the filter. Does this matter for dust? Certainly, as the bulk of your air will probably be coming from the unfiltered side panel or pcie slot covers. More importantly, does this matter for temps? I’d say yes, but it would be nice to see some test data. The less turns air needs to make the better it will flow, and given two perfectly positioned fan mounts I don’t see why you wouldn’t take advantage.

Hi Veera Sekar, welcome to my channel as I have returned this chassis to Asus Singapore. I can't be accurate to tell you if you can. However as I recall, there are still space to place for 2 x 120mm fan if you decide to mount two at the side, right above the AIO block. I suggest you use zip ties to hold the fans instead of drilling the chassis. It's made of steel, once you drill it will rust after a period.

Hello Kleo. I came across your video on the Asus AP201 more than a month ago, and I liked it so much that I decided to build my first PC with this case three weeks ago. Now, I have some questions and doubts. 1) Regarding the configuration you made in the UEFI, how would it be with Intel? 2) When I start playing something demanding, the power supply makes an electrical noise. Is this normal? Here are the components I bought: Asus B760M TUF, RTX 4070 TUF, i5 13400F, 16GB RAM 5200MHz, and an Asus 850W TUF power supply. What should I buy next to improve it? Unfortunately, I did not do the installation myself, but I THINK they did a good job; only the power supply is on the opposite side. Regarding the methodology for installing the fans inside the case to intake and exhaust air, I used the first one, option A. Just as I mentioned, the power supply is facing outward and not inward. Is it okay this way
@KleoYan Жыл бұрын
Hi Christopher, welcome back to my channel and thank you for valuable feedback. 1) Regarding the configuration you made in the UEFI, how would it be with Intel? There are two methods to tweak an intel 13th Gen processor. First method is to use software which is directly from Intel, the application is call XTU, thats where you play with the VCore voltage or to play with the clock frequency or more. Second method which I often used is on UEFI itself. I will set the power limit (PL1 and PL2) and to do Vcore offset. you can refer to this video even though it's not a Tuf board. kzbin.info/www/bejne/jIvImWedrMaWadEsi=QjIi9mfPLj4uQhHW&t=3182 (watch the actual timestamp and please note, I not an expert on this) 2) When I start playing something demanding, the power supply makes an electrical noise. Is this normal? A) This should not be the case. The power supply you have, it's a good PSU. You might want to double check the connection cables between your PSU to your motherboard, GPU and etc. If it still gives you electrical noise. I would advise you to send your PSU for RMA if it's under warranty. Is it okay this way A) I like the idea of your PSU drawing cool air instead of drawing the warm air from the interior. choosing option A is good, but what type of cooling are you using? Aircooling or Liquid cooling? Hope all these aid you out.

@@KleoYan Hello Kleo, thank you very much for responding. 1) I realized I had forgotten something, and it was the cooling. Well, due to tight budget constraints, I bought an air cooler, the DeepCool AG400 Plus. I hope it is sufficient for the processor I have. 2) I conducted tests on the electrical noise. I disassembled the power supply, adjusted the cables (which I hope are the correct ones), checked that everything is properly connected, and tested games like Valorant, Counter-Strike 2, Valheim, etc., without a frame rate limit. I have noticed that the GPU is making noise, Kleo. I don't know if I fixed the issue with the power supply, but the power supply no longer beeps. Now, the GPU beeps when I play demanding games. I wonder if that has always been the case, and I may have been mistaken in identifying the component at the beginning. 3) I managed to watch the video that you shared with me. I am very interested in doing that and thus extending the lifespan of my components, both the CPU and the GPU. I'm not sure if the video also addresses GPU issues, or if you have a video explaining that, Kleo. This is what I was able to do all night yesterday. I apologize if I have been late in responding.

@ this case if with glass will be running hot as the only intake of air is at the bottom and it’s so close to the gpu. This will end up accumulating hot air up to your air cooler. So having a mesh side will give more cool air to your aircooler. As for configuration. Bottom you can don’t use fans as your gpu already pulling air from the ground as for the rear. Place a rear fan to intake and at the top, top front fan as intake air from the top to give more air to your aircooler. And for the inner fans. 2nd and 3rd do exhaust, to push warm air out of the case

@@simonmllerjensen8209 hi, though congifuration C looks ideal but the problem is this.. 1st bottom fans passes through the GPU and to push warm air towards the top section, 2nd the top where it pulls in cool air to cool the air cooler heatsink, the warm air from the heatsink only area to exhuast is the rear, plus mix with the warm air at the bottom up. Therefore more warm air is being traped inside your case. That's the reason why I've suggested this configuration which I have tested. Top - 2 x exhaust (rear 2 fans) - this is to exhaust the heat from the air cooler heatsink and the bottom warm air going upwards. Top - 1 x intake (front top) - to being in cool air at the front of the air cooler where it will pass though the front air cooler heatsink and then air cooler fans will draws the cool air from the front and to push hot air out to the rear. Rear - 1 x exhaust - as usual, the warm air is being exhuast in this area. You don't really have to follow my configuration but give it a try to see the thermal difference.
