One of the best things that VARs can do....Bring real world customer solutions to the Solidworks community. Here is great video showing the many ways to use "Entities" to make relationships from one sketch to other sketches. Can't wait to see your next one, Steven 😎

I use this technique when designing injection molds. However all of my sketches are in the top level assembly and they're all fully defined. The shapes of sizes of my components are controlled with sketches and multiple instances of component locations are defined by another sketch. I actually eliminated the use of a third party add-on software (Moldworks/Splitworks) after adopting this approach.

If You unfix the master model and move it inside assembly will other parts follow it?

I’m assuming you mean to unfix one of the components, so that component can have motion. Yes, you can definitely remove the Fix relationship and mate it like regular part, and it will still update with the shared sketch.

I have the same question. Seems either everyone knows it except us, or they missed it

That's a PDM data card. Since he's saving into a vault, it automatically prompts him to add those details if he wants. That only pops up if you are saving into a SOLIDWORKS PDM vault.
