Thank you very much for your video explanation. I just have a question, do you have any idea; why when I get to the part of tooling split, my part disappears? I'm not able to select anything. It does not even show the cube directly like in your explanation.

I got an error saying “unable to separate, and then knit surfaces into core and cavity” solved this by manually creating a split like before the parting line

in the previous two videos I did everything right, but in this video I couldn't do anything right! shut-off surface, parting surface, and the mold extruding. My SolidWorks version is premium 2020 sp2

right click the part in the left feature tree, there is an option " insert into a new part", and there you go

To start with, brilliant video. I'm trying to make a mold for a frame. In the final step, ie, 'tool split', I get an error 'Cannot knit sheets together' Any ideas?

I had the same problem. Solved by inverting the directioin of the split surface. Check the vid again at 2:24 to 2:40. For some reason SW by default draws the direction of said surface opposite to how it should be.
