Brother Imran, The water is a symbol in the bible and in the Quran. Muslims generally speaking failed to understand the symbolism in the Quran and what they referred to. The Almighty God in the Quran starts in many Surahs with symbolism to indicate that there are many in between throughout the Quran. The water symbolises People In general. Not specific People. So when you read that Almighty God Instructed Moses to strike the Rock so water can come. That's means there is a direction that all the people need to travel too. Examples from the Bible: Num. 20:8 “Take the rod; and you and your brother Aaron assemble the congregation and speak to the rock before their eyes, that it may yield its water. You shall thus bring forth water for them out of the rock and let the congregation and their beasts drink.” Num. 20:9 So Moses took the rod from before the Lord, just as He had commanded him; Num. 20:10 and Moses and Aaron gathered the assembly before the rock. And he said to them, “Listen now, you rebels; shall we bring forth water for you out of this rock?” Num. 20:11 Then Moses lifted up his hand and struck the rock twice with his rod; and water came forth abundantly, and the congregation and their beasts drank. The Quran is more specific about the water and the migration line that the Israelites need to take as they ordered: وَقَطَّعْنَاهُمُ اثْنَتَيْ عَشْرَةَ أَسْبَاطًا أُمَمًا ۚ وَأَوْحَيْنَا إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ إِذِ اسْتَسْقَاهُ قَوْمُهُ أَنِ اضْرِب بِّعَصَاكَ الْحَجَرَ ۖ فَانبَجَسَتْ مِنْهُ اثْنَتَا عَشْرَةَ عَيْنًا ۖ قَدْ عَلِمَ كُلُّ أُنَاسٍ مَّشْرَبَهُمْ ۚ وَظَلَّلْنَا عَلَيْهِمُ الْغَمَامَ وَأَنزَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمُ الْمَنَّ وَالسَّلْوَىٰ ۖ كُلُوا مِن طَيِّبَاتِ مَا رَزَقْنَاكُمْ ۚ وَمَا ظَلَمُونَا وَلَٰكِن كَانُوا أَنفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُونَ why 12 springs or water because there are 12 tribes. The direction of those springs is where these tribes should travel. And that is what happens. Today, We Muslims should know where these tribes are and what countries they currently inhabit. In Engineering, we call this tracibility. And remember the Almighty God teaches men through symbols and Signs (Ayat). As a Muslim why do we study the bible? Salam Moulana, Akbar is not the name of Allah. In Quran, Allah has introduced him as Al Kabeer “The Supreme” The Greatest. “His are the best names” 17:110 When we say “Allah hu Akbar” it mean “The God is Akbar” ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الْحَقُّ وَأَنَّ مَا يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِهِ الْبَاطِلُ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْكَبِيرُ This is because Allah is the Truth, and that which they call upon besides Him is the falsehood, and that Allah is the High, the Great. (Luqman : 30) “Al “ is definite article, meaning THE. Word Allah is combination of Al + ilah = Allah (The God/Deity) So AL “THE” often prefix proper noun. So “Allah hu Akbar”, The God is Akbar. It means Akbar is The God. Quran does not say Akbar/Al Akbar is name of Allah. However Allah says in Quran , His Zikar is Akbar. وَلَذِكْرُ اللَّهِ أَكْبَرُ ۗ If Akbar is a name of Allah than why Hussein ibn Ali RA named his son Ali al Akbar, Ali al Asghar & Ali al Wasat. There must be some Hikma by naming his all sons in this format. This has not done by accidentally.
