Nobody in this comment section has said anything of weight to rebel against what Imran has said. All I've seen is loads of people jumping on the bandwagon to make fun of him...and yet their best argument is that "nobody has ever said this before so it's not true." That is such a weak counter-argument. As someone who is in pursuit of knowledge, I agree with the Sheikh. Instead of taking in and regurgitating what your parents told you, start using your brain and think about what it is you are reading. These conversations are necessary for people to open their minds and see the possibilities of what is going on in the real world today, and what Allah has prophesied. The pursuit of knowledge is important in Islam and yet nobody really thinks anymore. Perhaps that is why the ummah is in an embarrassingly horrific state these days.

And you should not blindly believe that only the scholars of past are correct, rather you should examine and scrutinize the teachings of each one of them using the Quran and Sunnah. After all what they taught was what they understood and what they understood might be either right or wrong. Hope this clarifies.

So, you cannot claim that they were absolutely correct. You should rather compare specific teachings of Sheikh Imran with the scholars of the past that you seem credible and scrutinize both teachings to reach a conclusion. This would be the proper way in my opinion and ALLAH knows best.

I am an Orthodox Christian Arab (Syrian and Palestinian) and I agree with him. His ideas very hard to understand for those who are not in orthodox circles. Orthodox and Muslims have much a lot in common and they should treat each other has close friends. Hosein is absolutely correct when he explains the fall of Constantinople and the occupation over orthodox Christians is ultimately why we are not allies. As we speak, Russia is competing to be the leader of the Orthodox world. The Quran predicted Orthodox is a close friend of islam. These are concepts that are difficult to understand for muslims, but it is the truth.

In my search for knowledge I found Islam and within Islam I've found a massive ocean of knowledge. In this ocean of knowledge I have ran into many people of knowledge and scholars. Quran is the path and Sunnah is the guide. I've much respect for Sh. Imran because via him I've been guided to new knowledge and different views and I always enjoy his speeches/presentations. Surely, like an elder (seasoned in experience and knowledge) Sh. Imran has little patients to explain the things he expect the Ummah to have. Our duty is to listen, if so desired, and do our own research of within the Qur'an, Sunnah and history books. Much respect to the host for his behavior and handling of the interview for he did as we are commanded to do so with our elders. In fact, all the Islamic scholars who studied the history of Khawareej in details, are fascinated by how there was not even one small mistake ever found in any of the religious books of the Khawareej… Yet, when it came time to live out our religion in everyday life rather than only practicing our rituals, then the Khawareej had it ALL WRONG as they were labeling Muslims as Kufar right, left and center… The Khawareej were slaughtering Muslims as if they were sheep! The Khawareej had no problems spilling the blood of Muslims, given that they regarded them as Kuffar… So when you play Russian roulette and label a Muslim as a Kafir, according to your whims or to your interpretations of our blessed Islamic religion or of our aakeedah, just remember that if, for some reason, you mistakenly label someone as a kafir while he or she isn’t, then you’ve just become a real Kafir yourself… Is it worth it? The sun rising from the west can very easily be intepreted to mean that the new ruler of the worlds are free to dictate and inverse the directions of fundamental aspects of nature using the sunrise as a symbollic allegory (gender, morals, etc) and it is pretty clear that regardless of your school of thought (even orthodox christians see this) this shift has long been underway... just my personal take on the ottoman stuff ( i dont know much military or political history) but could the ottamon empire rule be largely seen as a geopolitical conquest rooted in imperial endeavours seeking to 'modernise' islam, looking at modern day turkey it certainly makes sense in their departure from a more 'orthodox' islamic worldview. Ok I think you need a perspective of someone born and raised in Russia.. I am a Muslim convert and I live in the West (not that I am proud of it or like it but happened like that) … so I can assure you that there is NOTHING orthodox about Russian government or their belief… the same goes for Russian people. They are as secular as they can be. Most of them are atheists just like in the West and don’t want to hear about God. Their churches all preach idol worship where you have thousands of icons people go to and pray to … they rarely even talk about Jesus as the Messiah, I would say American Christians are way more Christian in that regard. Also, when Russia took over Crimea, that area had thousands of Tatars who are Muslims. They were all expelled or imprisoned. I personally know a lady whose husband is behind bars for 18 years for being a Muslim. So all these ideas are so nonsensical for me, as someone who studied the Quran and the seerah and the ahadith… politically, I still rather stand with Russia, just because their evil is still incomparably less than that of the west but to say they are true Christians or anything like that… it is ridiculous.

Sheikh Imran Hossein is a hidden gem , most don't like the way he speak but any intellectual scholar aren't here to beat around the bush. He is stern in his view and answer so little because the question cannot easily be answered in 4 minute , you need a lecture or history lesson to understand why any person come to that conclusion. By far he is correct in most predictions , muslim ummah use to look up at Saudi and Turkey but Sheikh Imran knew they were enemy within islam. He is not talking about the citizen of Turkey or Saudi but the one who is in control of the population. All the questions. Don't get me wrong, he attempted to answer them but not in a scholarly manner. The way a scholar answers his questions is as follows: 1. Brings evidence from Quran (if any) then 2. Sahih hadith (if any) 3. Then ijmaa of scholars (if any) 4. Then contemporary scholars who specialize in the topic that you want to address 5. His ijtihad which has to backed up from the Quran or sunnah. If there is a sound hadith which opposes his opinion (which could happen in few cases) he has to give us a scholarly reason why he doesn't accept the hadith. By following this format you will always protect yourself from personal biases such as thinking the orthodox Christians should earn more respect than the ottoman Muslims (regardless of how bad they were)

As a Turk, I find this man incredibly self-righteous and also vindicative. Holding a romanticised view of Putin and Russia/Serbia as well as China is not reflective of critical thinking.
