Agreed. I was just reading the comments for Saboteur Blues, and holy crap people are critics. People don’t understand that bands change members and evolve as that happens, as well as they don’t make the music to please us. We choose wether or not we like it. Personally I’m really connected to the last three albums from trans Continental hustle up to seekers and finders. I love how the real early stuff is about his journey as an immigrant, and now it’s evolved into more of a spiritual thing. I’ve literally listened to nothing other than Gogol for the last two months and I have no desire to stop. Also my 8 year old daughter is a fan for life now. Cheers!

So I notice that GB's done another Silent Lineup Swap. Pamela and Vanessa have been replaced by the returning Elizabeth and a new backup singer/percussionist. No announcement as to why, as usual. Did they jump, or were they pushed? May as well get real and call GB what they are: The Eugene Hutz Show.

Eugene publicly posted on Instagram that Pamela and Vanessa are working on a project over the summer in NYC and that they will be back. They were also put in the promo photos for all of the press stuff for the new album. They haven't left. Just temporarily being replaced. Big band, I imagine its hard to get 9 people able to make it to every tour/show for years at a time. As long as Eugene and Sergey are there, it will always feel like Gogol to me.

Ten years ago, Gogol Bordello were the best band on the planet. I must've seen them about ten times and some of those gigs were the best I've seen in 35 years of going to shows. Now, they're a spent force. I can trace the moment the tide turned too. It was when Eugene and Sergey went flunkying for knackered old fuck-bag Madonna at that Live Earth thing. Gypsy punks? Not any more. And how sad is that?

Generic rock n roll structure and chord progression with some strings added in. I've heard this song before, virtually everywhere else. Vodka is missing. Gypsy is missing. This is stripped down to nothing terribly special. It's not a bad song, it's just a random rock song by another band that I don't care to listen to. It's not Gogol Bordello.

Meh, this seems like a throwaway song and might be the weakest song they've ever put out. These guys are a live band anyway and their songs never really translate to record very well.
