Thank you for sharing another groomer's perspective. I like that you gave her professional respect even though you are her senior as far as experience goes.

Hi Amy, I have an 85 pound 3 year old female goldendoodle. I thought I heard you say in one of your podcasts to brush before bath, after bath when wet and again when dry. Is that correct?

Yes

W Hi. What kind of thinning shears are you using on the face? I'm in the market for some new ones.

Thanks for sharing this Amy. I have that clipper and love it, but mine gets hot too.

@@GoGroomer it works best on my wavy haired doodle and the Wahl Bravura works best on my curly haired doodle. But even then, in some spots of their coat, I switch them. I’m learning so much from you and I’m so appreciative.
@janellelowrance48803 жыл бұрын
I have 2 of each blade. That way you can take the hot one off, clean and oil it, and have a nice cool one to keep on grooming . By the time that one gets hot, the one you took off is ready to snap on and continue!

Hey from Norway. I love your videos and I bought the same clipper you use the wahl and uses combs. What number are the wahl comb when you two talkes about blade 4f and 5f?
@GoGroomer3 жыл бұрын
The shortest comb would be the closest length:)

I have a 16 wk old Tibetan Terrier and she hates any cutting. Ive just got her used to brushing. Her nails are long and sharp but she wont let me cut them. Any ideas?
@s.seditsss3 жыл бұрын
I think you should just do it.The more u do it the more use to it the dog will get.If I was u I would take her to a groomer or just try to do it.I would try to do it first but if it is just TOO hard then I would take the dog to the groomer or vet to cut the nails🥰🥰
@Sanddaal3 жыл бұрын
@@s.seditsss I can't just "do it" as you say. She frets, jumps on me and holds on and pulls her paw away. The hair is growing around her claws so it's not easy to see them. She's going to the vet for her 3rd vaccine jab tomorrow so I'll get them to trim. Just thought maybe Go Groomer would have some advice.

Just a note from me. If you just can't do the nails, don't let it hold you up from the rest of the grooming process. Take that sweet baby to a Groomer to have the nails done. I myself have done this when I let the dew claws grow too long. There's nothing to be ashamed of. Then you feel good, and you can handle the rest. I suggest one of Raquel Grants tub leashes. It holds the dog safely in place. I bought 2 sizes. Amy has the link listed here, but you know you can also reach our Raquel Grant at the Go Groomer Private Facebook page. Good luck cuz you've got this!!!

I would say there is money to be made grooming & braiding horses. Those competing in equestrian events need the groom & are willing to pay. I have 4 horses but I do not compete.
