Li Jun Hui is tall and has very long reach. That means he doesn't have to jump high to make a steep smash and thus has shorter recovery time which allows him to smash continuously, unless countered with flat drives. His height also helps with quick steep smash without much preparation. Goh VS 's signature jump smash is more powerful but also requires proper set up which relies a lot on Tan WK.

And the surprising thing is that both Li Jun Hui and Goh V Shem loves to use a headlight racket

Funny how Li Jun is screaming at the top of his lungs and his smashes are indeed fast...but when Goh V Shem is given good lift, He flies and strikes the shuttles at such a high spot and the shuttle is so steep.

LJH got long hand & tall, so its obvious he can produce more power by use a bending technique. GVS got flexibility with perfect posture & technique. Also he can jump higher & got a strong arm that sometimes his flick smash is enough to get the point. The higher he jump, the deepest shuttle plummet & Strong fast.

The difference between playing against Goh V Shem/Tan Wee Kiong and play against Indonesian MD’s. Vshem/Weekiong simply give to much lift and that is what Li/Liu wants. It’s different when they up against Indonesian MD’s because usually Indonesian MD’s don’t lift the shuttle and too good at serve situation. (PS: I’m Indonesian and I’m not being bias here👍🏻😂)

Agreed. The Malaysians lift too much and stay in a defensive position when they should be setting up and attacking more, which is clearly their strong suit.

@@rofyanaz Lots of shenanigans will happen before these two pair up. Have you seen the two of them go up against each other? Check out a Thomas and Uber Cup vid, they trash talked (subtle and jokingly) a whole lot in that match up! They're like the entertainment kings of badminton.

Stop putting the blame on Tan. Goh V Shem does way too many lifts in certain situations, lifts with ''deception'' that never works. And he does way too many fancy behind the back defensive shots that are useless. Goh V Shem is only good at the back when he is smashing. Tan plays like he's supposed to. Don't be biased and think that Goh is perfect. His defensve/flat game is not strong at all. Tan does errors here and there at the front, more than Goh when you look at that aspect only. But the problem is, sometimes Goh lifts are questionnable and puts his partner in bad position, he does not do DIRECT errors, but more like indirect ones. Even though they went far in 2016 RIO, that was their peak because they were playing at 100-110% of their style. Nowadays, they can barely pass quarterfinals. Why? People are adapting their playstyle. With the indonesians who know how to vary their game, it's more a flat game and service game, fast paced. The malaysians have a lot of trouble adapting to this playstyle. Also, the minions defense are very good so smashing non stop doesn't work against them. Also last thing I'm going to point out, Goh V Shem's smashes seems harder when he had the jetspeed10 (Victor). He has arcsaber 11 now (correct me if I'm wrong) and since then, I feel that his smashes are getting weaker and weaker (or maybe it's age).
@anonymousyo96283 жыл бұрын
@@YouKnowYongHwa I agree with everything u said here. about the racket choice, jetspeed 10 is a headlight and speed type racket. hence he can fully use th3 rotation of his body and arm to gain the momentum and generate lots of power. he probably switched to arcsaber 11 which as an even balanced racket as it is easier to produce power with, but on the downside, he's not able to fully generate power with his swing. hence it's less powerful.
