in all fairness piccolo did have a point in order for gohan to toughen up he needed to be placed in harsh situations situations that goku wouldn't do to his own kid much less anyone else really there was actually a scene in the anime where gohan even agreed with piccolo here saying that goku's too soft on him

I mean yea as far as training a child this is cruel but training someone for something serious like fighting for your life this type of training is necessary @@oli-qn4ge

Whilst in the real world, we are taught the opposite now. No more sticks and stones. It's more of a case that everything hurts you and you should make a big scene out of it. You have no need to work hard. Everything is easy. And so on.

Yeah but I wish he didn't. Gohan didn't want to fight and fighting isn't good. We're tough by just being alive. Not fighting.

Gohan's life is all about circumstances demanding he be the opposite of what he is and everyone else criticizing him for not WANTING it. Early on it was unavoidable. The sayins were coming regardless of who they found. As time went on it became increasingly his dad's fault cause they were coming for Goku.

@@rivencraft1734 The red ribbon was going to take over the word in dragon ball the original series, he HAD to stop them or there would have been no peaceful world to live in. The androids were the after effect that red ribbon had, it wasn't his fault. About Beerus, what could he have done or known, let himself be killed by Frieza? About Gohan you're mostly right, except no one criticized him for it, on those circumstances they told him that it was basically a DO OR DIE situation, you can see in the begginings of the Buu saga how he let himself go and no one chastized him for it. But it became aggain a do or die situation, and he was the best bet they had to win. The Pottara earrings and the Genkidama were second and third choices. Vegeta is the only one you could be half right for it but even he was only saying it because of how MUCH he let himself go. When your best fighter goes and just forgets how to fight at the worst time possible, he kinda has a point. Gohan with released potential on the Buu saga was on par/almost or surpasses with super saiyan 3

Piccolo was wrong about that though. Goku literally got Gohan from base form straight through SSJ and to SSJ2 in a matter of less than a year in the hyperbolic time chamber. Goku is a great fighting teacher.

Goku was only building on the training that piccolo had already provided for him additionally all of the non-stop training that Goku and Vegeta does piccolo got Gohan to beast which is superior to ultra instinct and ego.

Mind you that was after Gohan pushed Goku to stop holding back on him. He even said that Piccolo was right, that as a teacher Goku is far too soft.

Funny how Goku is a far, far better teacher than Piccolo is. Gohan saw the largest gains he’s ever had under training when Goku taught him in the Time Chamber

Piccolo kidnapped a kid to use for his own selfish needs then beat him and abused him and groomed him, which is why gohan likes him. But yeah let's ignore all that and claim he did it for the kid's own good as if the kid asked for it🙄

ピッコロの指導は基礎力は付くけど、実戦力がつかないんだよな。特に悟飯の戦い方はかなり単調。結構力まかせスピード任せなんよな。

Gohan went from a scared little kid that always needed to get bailed out->To a kid that became strong, but arrogant and drunk on his own power->To becoming a “normal” kid again(essentially gave up on fighting)
