Keep in mind that Gohan is still a young man so he's been learning this whole time. Broly didn't get stronger because he was on a desolate planet for most of his life and didn't have a proper trainer.

Or how about when Goku forgot he had limited time on Earth and that SSJ3 would rapidly drain it (twice), resulting in having insufficient time to train Goten and Trunks in fusion? Or how about Goku not tracking when the Saiyans would arrive and assuming Kaio sama would just "whoosh" him back to Earth without asking? And let's not forget the end of the original manga when Goku forgot how long it'd been since they last all got together. Sorry, that's just part of Goku's character.

To be fair to the character of Vegeta he was was only worried about the what the new enemy was and surpassing future trunks and goku; Not the organization that actually created the androids. And the writers forgot in real life 😂

That and he really never got the memo who specifically made the androids that attacked them. He just assumed it was a rival company out for blood. Not to mention I think this is a good point in time that we're getting close to End of Z so Super is catching up to the series and give a full timeline of events, from the chance encounter with Bulma to his match with Uub, which fittingly enough completes the tale of Journey to the West as Goku becomes enlightened, as after Kid Buu's defeat Goku somehow along the way became complacent, one of Roshi's initial fears before Beerus came along and whipped him back into shape feeling he is the strongest of the physical known universe.

Goku doesn't really understand the concept of educational institutions, as he never had personal experience (Grandpa Gohan and Muten Roshi homeschooled Goku) and Goten hasn't really gone to traditional school much since he's been alive and around. Gohan went to highschool, but also went by himself and didn't have to be picked up.

My personal suspicion is that this arc (Black F) was outlined. Daima mostly or all done. Maybe even a final movie script if Toriyama began to write it after Superhero. He meant for Piccolo and Pan to have a close relationship and for Goku to be the same absent parent figure he has always been. So to my understanding from further leaks, Beast Gohan is definitely on a raw power at it's max level stronger than UI Goku, but to fully harness it's power Gohan has to use his rage and he risk giving in and losing control so he can't really be full power for too long yet. The fact that Broly also has to deal with this is why Gohan fights Broly, to help him with his issues.

3 things that came to mind while listening to this video. 1) I think the fight mentioning the saiyamen is actually supposed to be the saiyamen vs Broly for one fight and Vegeta vs Gohan for the other, but I could be wrong. 2) I think the part about Goku “forgetting” Pan is just a translation error. He hasn’t seen her since she was a baby, but I doubt they’d write him as just completely forgetting her, even if it is Super Goku. 3) Pan likely isn’t gonna recognize Goku right away since she was a baby when he was last around. These are just some thoughts I had. I really hope they didn’t actually write it in that he forgot about Pan lol

To clarify Vegeta not knowing the Red Ribbon army, it was never explained to him what the organization was or what they were doing during Goku's childhood. All Vegeta knew was that there were two androids he needed to kill and settle his score with Goku. The symbols were more of an afterthought to him and didn't really care about it one bit. As for Goku not remembering Pan, I think it's because he and Vegeta have been on Beerus's planet for three years since the end of the Granollah arc that Goku hadn't checked in on Earth and watched Pan grow older. So it would make sense that they wouldn't have recognized each other when they reunited. I'm excited to see how well Broly's been training to control his rage as a Super Saiyan. The next arc's going to be hype.

I think all these context clues are to make the reader realize how long it’s been since everyone has seen Goku and Vegeta. Which is setting up the end of Z conversations making more sense.

I'm pretty sure you're reading that wrong. It says Saiyanmen (should be Saiyamen) vs Broly & Vegeta vs Gohan. So that's two different fights: The boys vs. Broly Vegeta vs. Gohan Should be interesting to see how Vegeta and Gohan plays out.
