07:35 you absolutely shouldn't skip db but jojos part 1 & 2 are the most skipable thing to ever exist and i say that as a big jojos fan. All the parts are a disconnected mess and are only loosely connected. You lose absolutely nothing by skipping them and you are brought upto speed in the very first episode of part 3.

Goku was toying w gohan the whole time except for the one part where Gohan powered up and put Goku on a defensive. Goku was not taking Gohan seriously. Even when Goku ended the fight, he ended it effortlessly. Goku is beyond Gohan. You are fanboying over Gohan and you are wrong.

even though its never beaten anyone the galick gun is still strong as hell considering it was on par with goku's kaioken x 3 kame. vegetas power level in that fight was 18000 while gokus was over 8000, so in kaioken x 3 his power level would be over 24000, and it was already established by raditz that when goku uses the kamehameha, he drastically raises his power level while charging and the beam is a lot stronger than a regular ki blast would be. so going by the idea that a ki blast from goku would match his power level of over 24000, and kamehameha being waaay stronger than a regular ki blast, galick gun could clash with a beam thats thousands of power levels stronger than his.

I think Toriyama intended it to be blue like her mother's but the anime changed to purple. Remember that the anime is catching up to the manga in the Androids/Cell saga, so Toriyama haven't drawn Trunks in color yet. This is also the reason why Toriyama draws Trunk in purple or blue. In super they decided to correct this mistake.

Kid buu cannot be strongest, because you cannot have addition via subtraction. It's simple math. Kid buu gets stronger by absorbing people. And he was at his strongest when he was buuhan. He was literally kid buu + all the additional power gained from everyone he absorbed to that point. It's like saying weak ss3 can beat ss vegeto. It just doesn't work. Sometimes you need to exclude aspects of the continuity when the continuity ain't braining correctly. Just because there's a different story in a book that includes pictures, it doesn't mean facts go out the window. There's literally no better way to say all of this more clearly.

1:35:40 Surprised to hear that someone asked Geekdom that question, but as someone else that’s blind, I’ll be taking a look into that program that’s mentioned. I think I came across someone doing some kind of pseudo manga dub for dbs with one of the chapters when the granolah arch was still new, but I don’t remember what channel that video was from. It really blows being a anime fan that’s also blind. I’m glad more shows now a days have audio description for the visually impaired, but anime and manga are still far behind with the times with that. Either way, I appreciate Geekdom greatly for doing this series. Still learning about lots of the stuff from the manga that wasn’t present in the anime and all of the added context to appreciate it even more.
