Brady and goHunt, thank you. I wasn't sure about leaving my previous e-scouting tool but after watching this video and playing with the software I am impressed with some of the layers your company has put together. Now, it appears I can put together a better game plan for my upcoming 3rd rifle season hunt. Of course, as you mentioned in the video weather will be the largest variable for the potential game plan. Let's don't forget, animal behavior. I am impressed.

Is there a fast way to pan around (X-Y axis) when in 3D or is is it necessary to click the button for it every time I want to switch from panning elevation (Z axis)?

Thanks for sharing this. I am actually looking into an October rifle hunt for both pronghorn and mule deer in Wyoming this fall of 22. I currently have 3 points for each species, but my youngest brother and Dad are at zero points. So I know as a party app we would be at 1.5 points which limits us more. Second choice for pronghorn seems non existent anymore. Access issues are obviously the biggest issue with Regular draw units, especially anything under 5 points. So my biggest concern is that and the units that we can draw having less than 20% public land, especially for pronghorn. I know that mule deer general is done by Regions so that really helps broaden the space. I would prefer to draw the region that has my pronghorn unit in it if possible, so if we do happen upon a legal buck we can make a move. Plus not having to drive halfway across the state to hunt one species then the other. I have been playing around with the GoHunt maps and the various layers, but I definitely shouldn't leave a ton of layers on and e scout for one species at a time so that I am not more overwhelmed than I am already. Any additional tips and tricks would definitely be appreciated.

Brady, great video. I definitely learned a lot. I just have one question. Do you prefer to campout during the late season?

Brady great video. I'm looking for video content from you guys on how to better select glassing points thru the app to ensure I have good visibility above the timberline. Quite often I find a spot in my e-scouting that looks like a great glassing nob but when I spend all the effort to hike in there, visibility is much more limited than what I had expected. Is there a way on a desktop PC to put the viewer at a 5-6 ft level off the ground as an example and actually pivot about that point to really see what is visible there for a person standing? I thought I heard that this is possible. Thanks for the great content. Eating this stuff up. 27 years ago when I started hunting I couldn't imagine how far we have come to be more successful in this sport and you guys are a significant part of that - thanks GoHunt team. You guys rock! When I read y'all's Insider articles on an application strategy I feel like I just got 10 years of time consuming research handed to me in a super efficient knowledge package and little secrets I would never learn. Keep rockin' it!

Hey Will. Brady here responding to you. Really glad you enjoyed the video. I can definitely put something together on that in regards to tips on how I go about that right now. And your second part about doing it on the web version of goHUNT Maps, that function is on our roadmap and is something we are building. There is a "glassing mode" currently on our mobile app in 3D. You can check out the video here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/kGGahqCGrtxrjs0 Then go to the 2:10 mark to watch how to use that. Glad you're enjoying everything especially on the content/written side! I agree, it's amazing how far things have come along. I remember trying to print off paper maps of all my hunting areas and taping them together before I went out in the field haha. Best of luck this season and thanks again for reaching out and for the support. Brady Miller goHUNT Digital Content Manager

Hey Man. Thanks for reaching out. This is Brady Miller responding back to you. Believe me, I totally get it. This is why I try to be very careful with what areas I do for these. I'm not exaggerating when I say I get hundreds of requests for more of these videos all the time and so I try to help people when I can, while avoiding highlighting spots. And 99% of the time I use units that take double digit points to draw. Sometimes I don't even think people pay attention to the area, I did one of these several years ago that was in a "national park" and I even had people say thanks for blowing up a spot... but they didn't know it was national park I was using as an example where no one can hunt, I was just using the terrain as an example :) Hope you have a great season. @@GOHUNT I get it too, you guys have a great platform and a lot of knowledge to help people out. I've used a lot of similar videos to develop my scouting techniques. Just frustrating to see specific areas being used in these videos, this tag is only a 2 or 3 point tag for residents and is a super popular unit. You have hundreds of people asking for these videos and even more watching the videos it's inevitable people use these spots. Which it's public land, totally fine, just not in my eyes the best way to inform your users on how to use the mapping application and tools knowing the number of people who are seeing the content. If you don't think people pay attention to the spots, keep using national parks, areas that can't be hunted, or have your mapping team build you a basemap without labels. Still gives a good idea on how to use the applications and techniques without the risk of inundating any areas. Hope you have a good and successful season too.
