Saved a TON of space on food this year by: -taking freeze dried meals and putting them in a ziplock bag. I had two Mylar bags that I reused for the 8 day trip. - did the same for other bars, snack items that didn’t necessarily need a wrapper (stingers, packaroons, bars, etc.) - vacuum sealed all my food for one day. - kept a few snacks loose and in their wrappers in case I still needed more food throughout each day

Thanks Ryan for the run through on your pack loading. How much did your pack with 7 day food supply weight?

I learned packing very heavy packs in 20 years of military service. I find it best to put most of the weight in the center of the pack closest to your back . Sounds just like the way Ryan does it 👊🏻

@@sheerwillsurvival2064 no, but I use the resources of videos to show kids in my outdoor education class. Since we only have 1-2 bags to pack on hand. Lmao

Lots of packs on the market including IA have the beaver tail zip. You can lay your pack flat and access the whole thing top to bottom without having a yard sale

Why a tarp and a teepee?
@loic588310 ай бұрын
So that they can sell both products. Joke aside, I always carry a tarp on me in case I need to spend the night away from cap.

Often we set the tipi as base camp and hunt away from it to a vantage point. It’s nice having a lightweight tarp for weather
