I had to spend 11k on attorney fees over some ridiculous stuff because my car happened to look like the guy they were looking for while I was getting in my car in a Walmart parkinglot. I have my CWP. But when I got in my car I took it off my person and set in on the floor mat so I could put bags in the back seat and they just walk up and open the door. See a glock and then all draw on me. But I feel like if I hadn't have removed it from my person and they pulled me out I might have been shot. Wasted 2 years of my life and way too much money.

I felt silly being the only one in the joint who came in voluntarily but after walking out freely I felt stronger and wiser knowing that I was clean and free. Searched my car for no reason multiple times, pulling me over when im going with the flow of traffic etc. They have a lot of things they discriminate against not just skin color. I went to court and had my wreckless driving charge dropped because they didnt meet the burden of proof. But did they make up for embarrassing me by putting me in hand cuffs and being disrespected by a police officer? No. Did they make up for my impound fees or time i had to spend getting booked on a reconnaissance bond? Nope. The city attorney's office was even worse than the police. No willingness to work with me, only condescending assholes who tried to throw the book at me and got fucked. I feel you man but police, city attorney, etc. all they want is to fuck people over and steal your money

Went thru some similar sh*:t out here in East Texas about 8yrs ago. Was pulled over for a lane change on I20 in Tyler late one night. State trooper claimed I smelled of alcohol tried to get me to do a breathalyzer which I refused. Passed all field sobriety test then asked me again for a breathalyzer. Refused 2xs was arrested for DUI suspicion which is the same as DWI here in Texas. Went to jail for one day got my car towed for $400. I had over $500 cash which they took from me and wouldn't let me post my own bail. My wife came the next day bond me out and they mailed my $500 in a check. I got a lawyer over $1k fought the case two yrs lost my license for 6mos had to get an occupational license $540 to drive back and forth to work and pick my son up from daycare. Went back and forth to court for months never saw a judge face to face. Spent about $3-4k only for the case to be dismissed on a pre-trial diversion dirty game. 🖕🏾TP!!!
