@gakir3617 жыл бұрын
don't know how often you read these but i think a V10 excursion is the perfect vehicle, they are EXTREMELY cheap to buy, huge interiors, but the best part is that several construction companies used them as work vehicles so you may be able to find one with a HO alternator or even a dual Alternator bracket that is pretty easy to get, its a heavy duty vehicle built to tow so all that weight won't affect it as much as another vehicle, lots of room for batteries in the rear and alternators in the front, and I'm pretty sure most come with a high idle option or its easy to instal, the high idle goes the same with the diesel engine in them as well

hey exo, u should look around for a 92-99 suburban. u can get them super cheap in decent shape if u look around, like $2-5k with a $5k one probably being in excellent condition w/ decent mileage. I've owned several late 90's tahoes/yukons and w/ proper care those 5.7 engines can go sooo long, I've purchased 2 that were over 230k mi and they ran great with a ton of life left in them. plus the burban would allow you to keep the middle seat(probably) if you did either flat wall or 4th order. H, ell even an older burban would be great for a build that size, like and 89' w/ the diesel engine would be cool. Plus the alts are SUPER easy to get at, I swapped my stock for a 350a yesterday in about 15 mins. Or maybe try to get a more unique truck like a bronco or old k blazer that woyld be cool too. just some thoughts. I really look forward to watching this new one come to fruition. Hey, maybe its time to just get a tiny school bus and give the demobus a competitor, and even with the tiny bus you could leave like 4 seats in so thats like a dozen people getting a demo at once
@smallblocksadventures60087 жыл бұрын
You should build a suburban. 1987 to 1997...lots of room under hood to run 12 alternators

I'm not like.. this major into car audio but would a suburban be a good idea? Lots of room plus the 5.3 ls is super popular so I'm sure getting alternators wouldn't be hard and parts for the SUV itself would be cheap.. just an idea. Honestly thought I've been following ever since the big 3 upgrade on the van so I really hope you continue on EXO and I love the videos you are always in good spirits and to see how passionate you are about car audio. This is just me but you should keep the Expedition. You know what's all wrong with it and what needs to be repaired. (heck you've had it 6 years) If you buy another project vehicle that could have more issues you don't know about or worse. There expedition is still a great platform due to it's size. Go to a junk yard, grab a dash and whatever else you need. If not find a Excursion. Ready to build beast of an suv. ;)

Definitely going to be a rare treat but not to rare me myself have 6 18s with 300000 watts going to them haven't quite clamped 300k yet but close enough shit highest I clamped so far was averaged at 285k and what do say I have cranking out that much fire lol yes it would be 2 150k high voltage taramps yes sir and originally the plan was 8 18s but couldn't get them into the build with all the batteries too so downsize to 6 buuuuuttt the redesign is underway in which we will be build a battery cage under the vehicle after I put the lift kit on it to jack it up high enough to where the battery cage is still 1.5 feet off the ground so I don't worry bout dragging the ground or hitting anything also we will be strapping 2 more 150ks to the package as well to stabilize the watts it could do 600 k but that's not how we will be strapping them in the way it will be strapped in will give me a solid 300k but it will have the potential to do about 450k but the subs that I am running 600k would definitely fry them hell the 300k can too if I was to sit there and just run the shit at full tilt for a hour but I do normal demos and burp in the lanes at a show all day no problems clamping 280 and these subs take it the warm up but never get hot or smoke I do have fans inside the enclosure for ventilation though intake and exhaust fans that are on a switch so I can turn them.on and off but yeap the plan is 4 150k and 8 18s and it will all fit once I build the cage under the vehicle plus I am saving lots of room already because I run 28 v aircraft Batts obviously in serious to power the hv amps for all of those who knows how hv amps work it's a no brainer but to me hv is the way to go no need for all this alternator banks of 6 and then all this batteries and caps and whatnot it simplifies what's required to get massive amounts of wattage without having to have all this stuff to get your voltage up hell my amps will produce 75 percent of it's power with only 70 volts going to them ...but yes this is my story and it's a helluva story but I have all the equipment just gotta pay for the lift kit and then build the battery box and it's going down...
