I am a new follower, this is the first video I have seen. I am a Dewalt user as well, I do windows, Doors, and finish carpentry and needed a 18 garage as well so I bought the Dewalt because that is the platform I am on. I used it for 1 day took it back and got the Milwaukee and I bought a adapter of amazing I can use my Dewalt batteries on it. I hated the wind up and it just didn't feel powerful enough for me, it was not setting the nails good enough.

Great input. I personally have never had the chance to use the Milwaukee nailer. I have felt pretty good about using the DeWalt one here in the video but I've had limited exposure to the cordless nailers themselves. Do you feel like it was a defective one or just didn't hold up next to the Milwaukee version? Thanks for watching and we really appreciate having you here!

@Schooner Creek Designs there is no doubt that the Milwaukee nailer are just a superior nailer, trust me as soon as you use one you will not use the Dewalt again and that is coming from someone who has all Dewalt tools and use them all day every day, and will continue to use them but as for Nailers it's Milwaukee all the way.

If you're still using this nailer I suspect you've already discovered what I am about to say: Go back and do your test with the nailer in multi-shot mode, but keep your finger on the trigger when doing it. Your release of the trigger is letting the pump wind down. Pull the trigger, let it wind up, then get to doing the old bump... and uh... nail. There is no delay between shots then, and you shouldn't get any imperfect penetrations where the nail head sits a little proud. You'll reach a point, after a certain number of nails, where the nailer will need to "rest" but by then, you've probably done an entire strip of door trim on one side. Talking about the toe nailing issue, yeah, I've experienced that. When I need to toe nail piece, I use the 20 degree Dewalt nailer if I have to do toe nailed pins.
