One of favorite tool is the Ryobi nailgun. Same concept, even though a lot cheaper. Running a compressor and airgun for nails is extremely inconvenient. The gas ones are perhaps just as skookum, and nearly as convenient as these battery powered ones..!

I actually had the Ryobi originally but I kept getting a double strike when it was low on nails so I just went for this guy on a sale. Those passloads will chooch for a long time I've heard. Either way totally worth ditching the compressor. I am interested in Ryobis new framing nailer though. Waiting to hear what people think on it

I love mine. Especially that it doesn’t have a gas cylinder that starts leaking after a while.

Can I use this for 17mm close board fencing?
@EngineersPerspective7015 ай бұрын
I wouldn’t recommend an 18ga nailer for fencing. Ideally a thin galvanized ring shank framing nail or collated nail would be best. You can get galvanized 15ga nails but not sure on ring shank. This would be your best finish nailer option.

Good review. I was thinking of buying this but now I'll probably go elsewhere.

It’s a really good nailer for sure but not perfect. I ended up gifting it to my dad and bought the Milwaukee. Honestly there are things I prefer from both models but I do prefer the M18
@JacqueCRISCOsd3 ай бұрын
@@EngineersPerspective701 the main thing that turned me away from the Milwaukee is the air canister will eventually need service and they won’t sell you parts for it. You can pump it up yourself and regrease, but you really should replace the $1 seals in the canister and as far as I can tell, they won’t sell them to you. I bought a broken dewalt for $100. Probably cost me $50 or less to repair and it will hopefully work like new.

I am heavily into Dewalt 20v and 12v lineup. However, as a nailer i have the Ryobi P320 model, 2 - 3 year olds one. Small size, balanced and does the job. I was looking at this unit from the upcoming BF sale. I think i will pass. The only reason i dont get the Dewalt nailers, is due to the large head and the wind up. For Nailers, i will stick with Ryobi.
