Ah I envy your grandparents getting to 68yrs of marriage, they are so so sweet and still holding hands. I lost my sweetheart to cancer when he was only 47yrs old just shy of our 24th wedding anniversary and I miss him everyday. It's not the big gestures but the little things, the everyday having a partner to talk about your day with, or the news that's happening, going out for meals, cuddling and laughing over silly things. Make the most of every minute together because nothing is guaranteed.

I smiled when you were moving the rock or talking about challenges like rolling in the awning because lately I’ve watched some KZbin videos about Iranian nomadic women. They chop firewood, bundle large loads on their backs as well as some of them carrying multiple children on their back as they traverse steep mountains. They also cook and bake bread, grill chicken over wood fires. They carry bricks, mix cement on the ground and build walls with cinder blocks and cement. They use axes and shovels to till and move dirt without a second thought. We women don’t realize how strong we can be and underestimate what we can do. You moving a rock with your fingertips up so not to damage your nails. Watch a few of the videos and you will be inspired, I promise. That is the impact they have on me. We have grown soft, or at least I have. They would be amused watching us and our “challenges.” We can do more if we just believe it!! This is my lesson after watching them. I don’t want a hard life like they live but I do want to be stronger and do more for myself. 🙏

I was divorced in 1976 and have lived alone since then! I try to explain to other women sometime in your life you will be alone. Things happen and you need to prepare for it. I fortunately am a person that loves being alone and am unhappy living with someone in my space. I don’t even like having friends come to my house. I have pets and that is enough I meet people at restaurants when I want company but am at my best when being alone!

Nice to see all the rebuilding in Florida, horrible to see the devastation. Brittany those storms were unbelievable but lovely to see the cats making themselves at home where they feel safe, and great they used the outside house. Minnew is so cute loved the reel of her playing with the seed lol. Sometimes we have to divide and conquer, we get to achieve things on our own which gives us strength and then we feel even stronger when we are back together - you are such a lovely couple x

Ahhhh, gotta love those uniqely American diner breakfasts. Crunchy hasbrown potatoes, eggs, suasage, toast. You can't get that in Portugal. There's just something warm and fuzzy about eating at a diner, especially breakfast food. Or maybe that's just my own nastalgic feelings coming from all the road trips throughout my 54 yrs, especially during my childhood in the 70's.Truck stop diners, Stuckey's, Denny's, Sambo's and all the Mom & Pops diners. Sadly, half those places don't exist anymore.

You guys are great. Nice seeing Drews Grandparents they love Brittany. That say a lot about the kind of person she is. I’m from Key West born and raised so I understand Hurricanes. We were living in Homestead and lost everything during Andrew. Thank goodness we got out of there and 80ft Ficus tree came through the middle of the house destroying every room. But as you both know as long as we survive that’s the important part because all the material things can be replaced. I love Portugal. If only I was younger and had better health I’ve been living with Lyme ‘s Disease since 2002, 22yrs it disabled me however I still love live and thankful to be alive. God Bless you guys take care.
