Very often in your travels I’ve watched you struggling through the mud and thought, ‘what’s the point, that didn’t look like fun’… if it’s tricky riding conditions you want Harry, you can do that back home. Were I in your shoes I’d be fixing in mind some key dates, plotting a route, and then going for it. A long overland trip involves compromise… you don’t get to see it all, instead you see a little bit of a lot of places and you move fast. You can always return later and immerse yourself in a culture of your choice. Good luck!

Guys I have watched you from the start of your journey to this video. I must say that I applaud what you are doing and am somewhat envious of what you are doing too, However I must say that it is a big undertaking, riding in pairs for such a long way. Married or not married people will always have their different wants and want nots. So that is a huge challenge to overcome when riding and seeing things together. I agree it is fun to see the sights and learn things as you discover them and to then learn more and hopefully grow within oneself. However a world trip in this day and age is not cheap and the longer you explore, learn and grow the more money you will need. To me the financial aspect is a big factor in a trip like this. Having said that getting from A to B in a quick fashion can seem good but it will create the situation of "what if we", "we should've" and what not. In short I think Harry needs to rein his curiosity in a bit. Less off road stuff thus getting to the destination quicker. Then possibly using that time saved to learn and explore within a close proximity. I think time is something that you may have but as a couple you need to ensure both of you are happy so as to not explode in a fit if rage and well we know where that could probably end. Anyhow good luck and stay strong, I am sure with some deep thought and contemplation you guys will come up with a great plan/solution.

Harry’s Mum here: Hopefully this is just a ‘time out to regroup’ because you are both such a good unit. I’m struck by the general tenor of kindness from the good people who are your followers; who understand the rigours of together-travels, while not being too critical. Like me, they see the difficulties of ‘Harry going off and looking for trouble’ and Liss’s ‘hell-bent on making it to Europe in time for next summer’. Time apart will hopefully help that accommodation. Hope so.

Same happened to Ed March (C90adventures) and Rachel on their trip around the World. Different expectations, different wants. Its only natural. Hell I get fed up with my mates on a two week tour, as we all wany fifteenth yhings. Its not that we all don't like each other. Celebrate your different agendas, but have meet up points and dates along the way, and have the best of both Worlds. Been following you both since Harry had the Aprilia, selfish of me, but don't stop now! Please!
@fuglbird16 күн бұрын
Ed March and Rachel were both experienced riders. You cannot compare them to these two newbies. Liss and Harry would have more fun if they had practiced a year at home before setting out on this trip. Smaller bikes would be helpful too. They clearly have not learnt how to help each other. I never ride in groups but I like to ride with a pillion. My first rides with my girlfriend in the seventies were camping trips through Germany, Switzerland, France to Monaco or Italy on my Suzuki GT550.

Good on you guys, these trips are hard, tiring and just testing in everyway. Jay and I did a mini break for 1 month off the bikes in India. I went hiking in Nepal with my girlfriend and he went to Sri Lanka. We had always planned to do it but the time off the bikes really helped reset and get excited for the second half. In an ideal world I'd want to do 1- 3months a year and leave the bike along the way then fly out and continue in little Chunks, unfortunately life doesn't allow for that haha. Keen to see what's next in your adventures when you come back. North and Left abit

Harry does not seem to be the compromise type. And that's OK, as a rule. But you cannot just do what you want when on a trip with another human being. If you are not going to compromise, take a solo trip. And human decency demands group rides accommodate the less experienced rider. You simply cannot take the "tricky track" of a rider in the group is not comfortable with it. Thats downright dangerous. Two points off for Harry in my book. - Frank

Nothing to worry about you two. A short break every now and then is great and works very well with my riding mates. As a matter of fact it is the “extreme togetherness” that ruins trips and relationships sometimes lol. I have a couple of mates that persisted on staying together on long outback trip and now don’t even talk to each other. This is sad as I am sure a few days apart would let cooler heads prevail and would have defused the escalating tensions. While the heavy off road sections will be easier both psychologically and physically if you are together, it is not a necessity. Solo adventure travelling heightens the sense of adventure and clears the mind. Your bikes are very capable and you both seem resilient and very capable. I have been following your adventures now for a while and I think you have come across most situations off road can throw at you. So a bit of separate travel a very good idea. Hang in there it is a great adventure you embarked upon and in the future you will remember even some of the most frustrating experiences with fondness

I finally caught up on your videos to see this one. (Been too busy riding and not watching videos, lol) The two of you have different travel styles, being real about it and not burying it until it comes out in frustration or anger is good for a relationship. It's also important to be considerate of the other's needs, i.e., if Harry wants to do a tricky track maybe there is a paved route that Liss can take and meet up with him or making a pact that there won't be any night riding, etc. Also, I think it's important to have solo time, even when you get along well. I've enjoyed your antics for years and hope to continue to for many more. Much love and see you on the other side.

Did anybody _not_ predict this? I reckon a month is about as long as two good friends can travel together before needing time and space to do their own thing. It's especially difficult when you find your own expectations of freedom and adventure being limited or directed by someone else's. However much you love them. Solo motorbike travel is such a blast of freedom that it would be a shame if you didn't build it into this long journey, more than once. Plus it gives you more stories to tell to each other.

We need to travel at our own pace, there's nothing worse than feeling pressured to go slower or faster. I like to travel alone because I find riding in a group often insulates ourselves from the experience, we tend to stay in that bubble whereas solo you have to engage with the world. Being solo isn't for everyone & I can understand why some people prefer not to travel alone, but being solo hasn't hurt Kinga of 'on her bike' or dare I say it.. Noralie. Best wishes to you both.

Yeah we're still finding the best way to do that. I find I have to pull over and wait a lot or dawdle, and it's hard to stay focused when riding slow. She can't tolerate the way Harry treats Lis, and I do cringe often. He puts Lis down a lot, and is a bit of a self centered git. Personally I think Lis should go the rest of the trip on her own. If Noraly and Elspeth Beard can do it so can she. Maybe meet a few times along the way, by air maybe, to see how things progress. Lisa has grown in confidence and capability in so many ways since the start of this series. Harry, only a little bit. The best to both of you, but frankly, I think especially for Lis, that means not as a part of this couple.

All the best with the solo riding. That much time together in small hotels in unfamiliar environments with the physical effort of dirt riding will test any relationship. Then youve got the added different expectations of travel. I think a short time apart then regroup is a wise decision under the circumstances. But so is good communication and balance (in everything) though. As far as some comments go, viewers only see a heavily editted version of the days/weeks even if the videos have consistencies each time. Only Liss and Harry will know who and what things need to change. BUT... as a viewer, Harry's constant jibes towards Liss and apparent no compromise choices are going to chip away... As far as content goes, I'd love for it to remain as an adventure riding with dirt focus channel first, then travel channel second. But ultimately its your trip!

I still don’t understand is why can’t you plan days that are for one person and the next day for the other or you know that kind of thing where you could alternate and everybody get what they want out of it And still can travel together.
