@@DakariKingMykanhe did such a great job with it though, the whole cast was great. It’s sad to hear that they didn’t all get along, but apparently accommodating Alf took a lot of work, moving of furniture, holes in the floor for the puppeteers, lots of setups which all resulted in a longer than usual shooting schedule. It would have been nice to have had at least one more season to wrap things up, having him captured was also a move to give the cast more of a break / easier filming schedule had the series continued. Too bad there was never a crossover with 3rd ROCK FROM THE SUN!

Wright did had some outbursts which lead to retakes. Wright wanted the show to center around him with Alf being like a side character.

I've watched a handful of these episodes over the last few days, in search of a bit of childhood nostalgia. I quickly came to realize that Alf is an unfunny asshole. I didn't see this as a kid. Now, it's impossible to not see. For years, the cast and crew have spoken about how much of a prick the man who created the character was. Watching a few episodes, it's pretty obvious, as who he was comes through very strongly in his performance. Lavender Jack...Swooping On Down.
