Going To Hong Kong For Guest Lecture At PolyU School of Hotel and Tourism Management

I went to Hong Kong after receiving an official invitation from the School of Hotel and Tourism Management (SHTM) at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU), one of the world's most prestigious universities. This is my first time being officially invited by a university, and I was honored to be invited to the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, a world-class hotel and tourism management institution. It was a truly meaningful time, including a lecture in front of undergraduate students, a seminar in front of PhDs and professors, a guest lecture in front of marketing masters, in-depth interviews with researchers, and dinner with professors. I am very motivated by the fact that my trip can be used academically rather than just as a personal memory. Above all, it was nice to see the dean and professors again, whom I had already met once five months ago. I saw the Hong Kong night view again after a long time, and although it was great, I didn't feel the same emotion as when I first saw it. In my personal opinion, what truly lasts is bond with people? So it was good to see the dean and professor again. Landscapes fade with familiarity while connections deepen with encounters.

This is a great opportunity. I know the feeling you're going through, I too had the same nervousness before many business presentation. You should take a class in Speech and another Presentation at S.Korean University. It helps with how and what to focus on, also body positive language and how speak with emphasis on the topic to keep audience attention span. It also pays good, some speakers I used to hire through an agent would charge us $10,000 USD per event which also includes accommodation. High demand celebrities charges upward to $100,000 per event. Hello Jin, thank you for sharing. When I saw the part of the video with the hotel buffet, I ask myself, why I hate this when I come in such a room? It is because I eat vegan and can not distinguish between the food presented. Maybe your professors read here and they are in the position to improve the situation for a lot of international travelers in hotels like this. Why is the content of the containers not clearly marked? As the containers are made of stainless steel, glass and porcelain magnetic stickers would not fit. "Vegan" has meanwhile a symbol on food containers. So why can your Hong-Kong and Macau professors not propose and international system in hotels for buffetts by the colour of the fabric below the container? All food standing on yellow fabric would be vegan including bread, rice, vegetables... This will be the biggest section anyway. Beside come the green "vegetarian" section with the dairy and egg. I still would say that I improved my alleric problems by avoiding milk based food. So will others. There should be a red "pork" section because all muslims will want to avoid this. Followed by a blue "beef" section which will be avoided by 1.4 billion Indians. Last could be the white "bird and fish" section including bugs, dogs, crocodile, snakes, bats and whatever you asian guys like so much ;) The people will anyway stick around the vegan section because the alternatives improved a lot in recent years. There will be also cheese and sausage alternatives. Vegan/plant based is good for the heath of the people and the planet and avoids this unbeliveable suffering of the animals. Its disgusting for guests if the food is mixed as shown.
