By the way my sister in law is married to sankaracharya's family and my brother studied in that asram school. During temple visit i could hear sri venmani krishnan Namboodiripad 's sahasranamam recital through loud speaker.. Temple ambience.... Nice to see and listen

Santosh, if i am not mistaken the actual birth of Sankaracharya took place in Piravam. As it was the practice for a woman to go to her own home for confinement. The Chinmaya International foundation now stands in that that particular Illam premises. His father Sivaguru's illam is the one you have shown here

Anju mam i am in bengaluru and i am going to visit kalady first time. I don't know anything about that place. It is my earnest desire to visit adi shankaracharya because i always has been read a lot of shankaracharya. I just want to stay in kalady to feel positve energy of that place so could i get home stay anywhere in reasonable price in kalady. If you read this comment please reply.
