I've never been to prison, but I've done stints in different county jails in 3 states. I can't stand being in gp. I would rather be in solitary because I can't stand being around large groups of people. I'm autistic and I can handle one on one, or a small group of upto about 6,but I start to have problems when groups get bigger than that. I don't ever want to go to prison, so the worst crimes I do are misdemeanors. Most of those were because I was ignorant of something being illegal (like the fireworks that a friend gave me), or I'm too broke to make my car legal so I get tickets that I can't pay and I end up forgetting when court is.

Not that cool, doing 300-500 pushups as well as situps, plus whatever else, a night just to go to sleep! And that was before turning 18! Made boot camp a breeze though! And diet? Almost always hungry, unless you can get on the kitchen work line.

If you want to see the workout, all you gotta do is limit your exercise to the available space in your bathroom and get creative. As for the diet, that's hard because both state food and commissary varies wildly from facility to facility.

When I went to the hole in county, my cellie and pretty everyone in the block was asking what I was in for, and then wanted to know what my actual charges were. My cellie New York did most of the yelling for me lol New York: Ay new guy what'd they throw you in for?" Me: Insolence to staff. New York: THEY GOT EM FOR INSOLENCE TO STAFF Everyone else: WHAT? New York: INSOLENCE TO STAFF!!

Only thing I can imagine that would be worse than "The Hole" would be "White Room Torture". Picture a room with no color, your food has no color, there is no discernable outline of a door, a window, any kind of opening. The guards wear all white and are completely masked when they interact with you, and they don't speak. The lights, the wall clock, the temperature are all under the control of the guards and can be adjusted at will.

I was in Dona Ana county with a guy who was in the SHU for two years. I remember going to court and finding out the guy sitting next to me fought the cops almost daily and threw shit through the chow port. He was there for DWI.

Can confirm CO's will call rec for seg early af because they know no one would take it. I was a night officer and had to deal with the fuck ups from day shift that didn't want to do shit. That being said seg was my favorite unit. Do some shit til lights out. Other than that I would do my checks and bullshit with the inmates or read a book til my shift was up. Same dudes I worked with all the time so I didn't have to get anal about protocol for anything.

I did some time in the Memphis medium hole in the feds. In December to January there was no heat and the shower that was in the cell it flooded every time you had to use it so you are not even getting out for showers. I saw dude take their tray port hostage. I saw a dude swallow razor blades to get of there. It was the most miserable time of my life
