Going to the Hospital Hi, my name is Julia. One morning, I woke up feeling very sick. My stomach hurt a lot, and I felt like throwing up. Soon, I started having diarrhea and vomiting. I knew I had to go to the hospital. My friend Sarah drove me to the hospital. When we arrived, I went to the reception desk. The receptionist asked for my name and some details. Then, he gave me a form to fill out. I wrote my name, age, and symptoms on the form. After a short wait, a nurse called my name. She took me to a small room and checked my temperature and blood pressure. The nurse was very kind and asked me about my symptoms. I told her about my stomach pain, diarrhea, and vomiting. She nodded and wrote everything down. Soon, a doctor came in. I explained my symptoms to him. Dr. Smith listened carefully and asked a few more questions. He then examined my stomach and asked about what I had eaten recently. "It sounds like you have food poisoning," Dr. Smith said. "We need to give you some medicine and fluids to help you feel better." He explained that I would receive an IV drip to keep me hydrated. The nurse returned and gently inserted the IV needle into my arm. I lay down and tried to relax. After a while, I started to feel a bit better. Dr. Smith came back to check on me. "You are doing well, Julia," he said. "You should rest and drink plenty of water. Avoid eating any solid food for now." Before I left, the nurse gave me some medicine and instructions on how to take it. She also reminded me to come back if I didn’t feel better soon. I thanked the doctor and nurse and left the hospital with Sarah.
