I go braindead when I get high too. The few times I've gone to work stoned, it was definitely not pleasant except for one time. I worked in the electronics department at Kroger and went to work completely blazed, no eye drops so my eyes were glassy and bloodshot. My boss was trying to chat with me during some down time and I was failing miserably at holding a basic conversation. She just straight up asked me "are you stoned right now?". I hesistated then was like "n-no...", then she stared at me for like 5 whole seconds while squinting at me and saying "Okay, good." The next day she came in all loopy on painkillers and gave me and another co-worker each a mason jar full of some really dank weed for free. She was pretty cool haha.

I worked a lot in sales. And not gonna lie. I was a better salesmen anytime I got high. The paranoia doesn’t hit me. In fact, it gives me more confidence cuz how comfortable I get with the customers. Back when I used to work at Amazon warehouse, our number one priority was to get high. It started at first with myself bringing a pen and just smoking inside the trailers, then my manager noticed and he wanted a hit, soon after I learned that my manager and some other coworkers were getting high on their breaks so I joined for that. I've never shown up to work high, or even intoxicated in any capacity, but when I worked at Dunkin Donuts, I had a coworker who was high 80% of his shifts. I remember we had our typical Wednesday rush (If anyone can explain why Wednesdays are usually the busiest for coffee/donut shops, please tell me). He became the textbook definition of useless when he was high, while we were scrambling trying to keep up with the rush of orders, he was just sitting in the back laughing his ass off. Of course, he never got fired because he was the only shift leader we had at the time so he was the only one asides from our GM who could train new employees. Even then, my last job before I turned to gig work, there were a few coworkers who regularly smoked on the job. I still remember one of them standing in the middle of the dirt collection pit (This job was at a car wash and we had to clean out the dirt collection pit weekly). Despite the noise of the pressure washers and the unbearable stench of the pit, he was just standing in the middle of the pit, clocked out of reality. I called his name to make sure he was okay and he looked at me with the goofiest smile on his face. That and the fact he was holding his weed vape told me everything I needed to know about the state he was in All in all, it's fun to watch other people fuck around and find out, but I can't imagine it'd be as fun being in the same spot
