Overall it will weight more than light weight tent, no matter what. You need tarp, underquilt, blanket in addition to bugnet. Tarp to keep warmth reflected and to protect from wind. I've been loving possibility of setting up tarp in the rain though, and then setting up hammock. Cocking under tarp and keeping wood dry. But i have Eno which i am thinking of replacing with kammock.

You will need an underquilt or pad for a hammock also if you want to sleep comfortably

I’ve wanted to go hammock camping but there’s ruined believe it or not I couldn’t find any suitable trees near the campsite, then you’d need an under quilt, rain fly, etc etc. it ends up adding up in weight. I have that same tent and I personally love it aside from being a front entrance, if I could do it over again I’d probably get the Nemo hornet cause it’s the same tent but a side entry.

Look into the sunda 2.0 from kammok, there’s a bit of a learning curve for setting it up as a hammock but it also can be used as a tent. Then you would only need the straps and an under quilt as the fly and net are attached to the system.

@@Ninja101011 lol I forgot this, since then I got an underquilt, double hammock and have been practicing quick setup. I’ve yet to do a trip with it but this month we have one planned. Thanks for the suggestion.

how long is the roo single and how tall you are?
@GoingAwesomePlaces5 жыл бұрын
So the technical length of the product is 8' 4" but that's probably not a good indication of max height that would fit comfortable inside. I'm 5'11" if that helps!
