You're not using the Python Straps correctly - intended to thread one end through the other loop around the tree , then tension using the karabiner up or down the daisy chain loops

+claverhouse1 You can use them either way but your way offers more flexibility so I hear what your saying Thanks for your comment
@claverhouse18 жыл бұрын
+trailandmountain You're right , you can use them either way, but you used them just like any other ( and substantially cheaper! ) tree huggers and the whole point of them is to use as I described. isn't it?

I have this setup and I LOVE IT! Love Kammock Gear!

Hey man I was going to purchase this hammock anyway, and after seeing this video I know I'm making the right choice. I also feel that your demo of the net was great. Living in Oklahoma we get tons of gnats and that net is a must. Keep up the good work.

Glad you enjoyed the video! Thank you for the kind words Nate

Just bought this set up and wondered how to set it up and if I'd made a good choice (I know, cart-horse). Your review was informative and fun. Sorry about all those bugs, though!

I'm between this and the ENO Double Nest. I like everything about the Roo except for the restricted visibility when laying inside of it. Is this the same with the Double Nest?
@JustKyzuuh8 жыл бұрын
Yes, it's very similar. The roo is a little larger though and if you ever intend on sleeping in it, the roo is much more comfortable for sleeping.

Neither are suitable camping hammocks for the size and the cost. Look into Simply Light Designs, The Bearded Hanger, or others for cheap net less hammocks, or SLD, Warbonnet, or others for integrated net hammocks.

Can't beat the Warbonnet Blackbird for camping. Add a Cuben fiber tarp and you have a good combination.

Such quality at such a great price! I wonder how many years of constant use this thing can handle. I'm a bit of a prepper, so I like gear that will last me a lifetime. Do you know if it is possible to get Python straps that are non-reflective?
@TrailAndMountain8 жыл бұрын
This Kammok will take years of abuse for sure! Very well made
@CerealScaresMe8 жыл бұрын
alaskajohn907 They don't make non-reflective ones it's a safety feature so pepole can see your hammock and straps at night without tripping.
@alaskajohn9078 жыл бұрын
Okay. The places I camp there aren't other people around and I prefer not to draw attention to myself anyways, but I could improvise
@CerealScaresMe8 жыл бұрын
Won't a little bit of electrical tape work?
@alaskajohn9078 жыл бұрын
Good idea. I was thinking some kind of adhesive, or possibly taking a rattle can to the straps to try and subdue the reflection

The loops are more attaching the underquilt than gear and guying out.

F*** there seems to be so much bugs around you. I would have gone insane unless I brought a bug zapping racket. Kudos to you.

+Jean-François Bessette Thanks! It was the whole reason I wanted to do this video to show how you can still get outdoors and stay away from the bugs when they get bad. I picked this spot on purpose

Huh? Strength 250 pounds each? Doesn't make sense...that doesn't add up to 500 pounds strength...the strength would still be 250.
