hey! great review. im wondering if you remember how heavy the bag weighed when packed? im looking at doing a checked-bag-free European backpacking tour soon and some airlines limit weight to 8kg (17 lbs)

Great review! I was wondering if this backpack would be too big but it’s just right! 😄

Great review! I have been looking for a cheaper alternative to the Peak Design travel bag, this looks like a great option. Good to see that it fits the 5L sling.

Henry Webb thanks for watching! Yeah I was curious how it could all work from a realistic perspective esp for anyone that has bits and pieces from other companies. Loving the 5L sling as well!!

A very nice backpack, yet i think it's a bit too expensive comparing to the first edition of their backpacks (which lacked some details). Anyway, i think this is a perfect backpack for a one-week trip to Europe/Asia in case you're trying to be a minimalist and travel with a carry-on luggage only.

40 liters Travel backpack with chest strap and waistband are very nice and practical when going places for a couple of weeks and even months. Specially when your flight has a connecting flight before you arrive at the country of destination because it's much easier and faster to move around than having to push or pull a cabin luggage on wheels. It is also much hygienic when you need to go to the rest room and you don't need to put your stuff on the floor when there is so much urine splash on the floor.

So happy to find a review of the bag being used for camera gear as that's what i'm looking for and also the fact that you tested it out in japan which is where i'm going for my trip too! Amazing review, definitely going to use your discount, much appreciated!

Do you recommend this over the peak design travel backpack or do you prefer the peak design bag?
@GoingAwesomePlaces5 жыл бұрын
I think between the two from a photography perspective, I'd pick the Peak Design travel backpack over the CabinZero.

Do you have a video of you using it as just a travel backpack without the camera gear?
@GoingAwesomePlaces5 жыл бұрын
I don’t unfortunately! I ended using this as my primary day pack and carry-on so I needed to somehow cram in all my camera gear. That said, if I were to use this as a travel bag to pack clothes, I’d probably use something like one of Peak Design’s packing cubes to roll shirts and pants and that way I’d be able to really maximize the space. It opens up nicely so I’d be able to lay it out easily.

Going Awesome Places ahhh no worries! Would love to see you try to pack a whole trip in that one though! 🤪 I have the original backpack 44L and I’m gonna use it for Singapore! Wish me luck!

Thanks for the review. It has 55cm length, how much can it be squished to make it shorter when packed light? I know the frame can be a problem here?
@GoingAwesomePlaces3 жыл бұрын
I just checked for you and if you really push it you can get it down to 51cm but you're right - the frame that gives the backpack its rigidity prevents it from being compressed further.

Is this a daypack or just a carry on ?
@GoingAwesomePlaces Жыл бұрын
It’s both I’d say. At least that’s how I used it.

Do you think this bag's harness will fit me? I am 6'3" or 193 cm and my torso length is 20 inch or 50cm.
@GoingAwesomePlaces4 жыл бұрын
Yes I don’t think you’ll have an issue. I’m smaller but there’s plenty of extra strap to wrap around whether for the shoulder or waist
@jooky52 жыл бұрын
Cabin zero is sold out of this version but has the non-pro version. I can’t find the differences between the two. Anyone know?
@GoingAwesomePlaces2 жыл бұрын
The main difference is the PRO has a laptop pocket at the front!
@jooky52 жыл бұрын
@@GoingAwesomePlaces thanks! Any other significant differences?
@GoingAwesomePlaces2 жыл бұрын
That’s the main one. I confirmed with the CabinZero guys as well. They said the advantage of not having the laptop compartment is that you maximize the storage space since it doesn’t have that laptop pocket.
@jooky52 жыл бұрын
@@GoingAwesomePlaces ah that makes. Thanks again!

Great review!. Is there a way to put the waist straps away? (i.e. only keep the shoulder straps out)? I asked Cabin Zero but couldn't get a straight answer
@GoingAwesomePlaces4 жыл бұрын
Hey! Thanks for stopping by! Unfortunately there’s no way to tuck in the waist straps like the Peak Design travel backpack.
