Thank you Yeonwoo, it was great pleasure to watch. By the way, that part on personalities of professionals (Shin, in this case) was especially absorbing to a stranger like me :) Would love to see more, even with more detail please ;)

I think Kejie, Shin Jinseo and Park Junghwan are all up there contending for the top spot of Go ranking. It's really hard to say who's the best player as the seat changes hand all the time. It's always exciting to see them match up.

Oh, hi Thao! You were watching the Fujisawa Rina vs. Ueno Asami game the other night. Sad to see Fujisawa lose her title, but Ueno is so fierce.

How come the rankings in Go fluctuate more than in chess do you think?

I enjoyed your video very much. I have watched many go videos, but your video gives me more pleasure than most. This is because you talk about the player's personality and their emotions. This means a lot to me. You also explain the game, but not in too much detail. The details you explain seem right to me. THANK YOU!

I think the world of Go is being revolutionized by AI just like chess was after Deep Blue vs Kasparov. Shin Jinseo is the pioneer of top players for which AI is the main source of studying. He is going to be absolutely dominating the leaderboards until a wave of young AI studying players come. Players older than him, no matter how legendary they are (Ke Jie, Park Junghwan, even older ones like Lee Sedol, Gu Li, etc...) just can't compete with Shin's AI-like game style.

Something was wrong with Ke jie's condition that day, At the time he resignedthe A.I evaluation was 70-30 in Jinseo's favour, Park's game which was going on concurrently with Ke's and Park was significantly behind with less than 10 percent but Park kept on playing and playing and probing left and right till his opponent made a mistake and he won on the 312 move, Probably KJ just felt Helpless that day and estimated that anything he does won't be enough, but sometimes you gotta play on for a couple moves and give your opponent a chance to make a mistake, Good Luck to Shin Jinseo , the final will be in Feb 2020, he's lost his last 8 games in a row to park, someday he has to start winning, Also he doesn't have a World Championship yet

I think the territories were too solidified and I think Ke Jie was correct to resign.

14:10 Could you explain why he plays the 3x3 in the corner instead of just connecting at the 16x15 point to prevent white from coming in? Beginner here. :o
@andyday48475 жыл бұрын
at 9:19 instead of atari at A-17, black should play B-13 to separate white.

This is gonna sound dumb, but "millenial" is used for people born in 1980-1995. Shin Jinseo and mr. Cagey are actually zoomers.

1980 is way too early to be a millenial. That is Gen Y, which is the Generation in between Gen X and Millenials. The Baby Boomer Generation only produced Gen X and Gen Y - where Gen X was made up of primarily unplanned pregnancies between 1968 and around 1977 ish (when Boomers were graduating highschool and going to college). Gen Y was the result of mostly planned pregnancies between 1978 and 1988 ish (when other Boomers had finished college and had stable careers and "decided" to start families). Millenials are the offspring of either Gen X or Gen Y - take your pick.
