Oh man, Ike. You may never see this comment, but to see the happiness you guys displayed when you caught that first Japan bass…..I will think of that moment when you yelled, oh so timely….”NEVER GIVE UUUPPPP!!!” I love every show and podcast you have ever done. You’re such an inspiration to me, having to overcome my own personal battles with addiction for almost 20 years. It took away what was playing out to be a very successful career in bass fishing, with me working through the ranks. I almost made the Wrangler Nationals the year that Bryan Kerchal qualified for the Classic, and later won. I miss that little green fish whistle so much. I finally got help, cleaned up my act, REPAIRED what was left of my life, and recently began competing again in kayak fishing, with decent success my rookie year….at age 50. You said it best my friend….NEVER GIVE UP! God Bless you and your wonderful family, congratulations on the Hall of Fame!!!

Never give up, and never be satisfied, if you crank two quality fish you have to stay out as long as possible, because even if you don't keep catching them, looking back on those catches will be even more satisfying
