If you claim to love metal, and don't like Gojira, I can't help but question your music taste. That can't be said for many bands anymore, but Gojira are in a league of their own. No stupid gimmicks, no excessive antics. They don't need anything special to get people to listen. It's just guys that know how to fucking play and they delivery every goddamn time.

Gojira is my new favorite band. they remind me today of what metallica was doing back in the 80's. there is just no other band doing what these guys are doing to the level they are doing it right now. KZbin suggested this video. All i can say as a old metal head Gojira kick ass. over the years i have tried to listen to lots of new metal, but most of it sucks. This band is fresh and talented. I love the way they mix genres of metal. i hear death , speed, grindcore and a little punk. Got to check this band out live next time they come to Cali.

Yeah, it's not just the complexity of his drum parts, which are so freaking tasteful and interesting, it's not just the precision of his hits, which is astounding, it's the way Mario has found to make these heavy beats sound so unique and instantly recognizable. Truly we are seeing a master in his prime. He's found a way to stand out in an overly saturated crowd of modern metal drummers.
