Gojira is an acquired taste. Took me a good 17 seconds to get into them. Lyrics are so deep and that's what puts them over the top. Oh and just being so damn origina.

Я называю эту песню "мелодия прощания". Завершающий долгий гитарный "занавес" звучит как отдаление от чего - то/от кого - то. От жизни, от человека, от родного дома... Представляется картина в голове, словно ты видишь от первого лица вытянутую вперёд широко разжатую руку, а кто - то/что - то напротив тебя отдаляется от тебя визуально, потому что твоё тело/твой разум медленно и верно куда - то "уплывает" и картинка теряет краски, затухает постепенно.... У меня глаза на мокром месте каждый раз, когда я слышу эту завершающую часть, особенно в живом исполнении. Эдакое "горькое наслаждение". Не фанат Gojira, слышал их 5-6 треков, в душу запали The Gift of Guilt и Flying Whales, обе композиции просто MASTERPIECE! Решил написать комментарий на русском, потому что услышал имя "Алёна", подумал, что ты русская, да и твоя речь немного выдаёт в тебе не носителя иностранного языка) Хотя мб я ошибаюсь. Hi guys , great reaction and I highly recommend you listen to the band named Jinjer I bet you'll feel in love with them. Normally people start to react to song Pisces - live session, or you can start directly from their crazy stuff like Ape, Sit stay roll over, who is gonna be the one, ... or many many great songs from this Ukrainian band.

She would probably enjoy Devin Townsend/ DTP. Also maybe some of the cleaner vocal Opeth songs. I know it’s not really “metal” either but Porcupine Tree/ Steven Wilson is very progressive but have some heavy undertones. As for Gojira, show her From Mars, Born in Winter, Lowlands, Flying Whales. Then she may be ready to dive deeper into their stuff. Or at least have a better appreciation for their stuff. Also live reactions may not be the best for someone hopping into metal, even though Gojira do a damn good show.
