1st song I heard by Gojira. I’ve been a fan ever since, and seen them live twice - epic.

I saw Gojira live when they were touring the UK with Alter Bridge and Volbeat and i hadn't really heard of them. After the short set they did, i went out and bought every Album, a few live DVD's and seen them on there own Headline tour. They became one of my all time favourite bands in a small amount of time.

I must have listened to this song into the hundreds when I first heard it...at least !.The album just came out, and If it wasn't for my metal head co worker who showed me this honey,,god knows how things woulda turned out. Maybe in the gutter with the rats Maybe beekeeping. Maybe doing other odds and ends. But hey she all panned out and I'm blessed 🙏

@toplel_96 I have a very flimsy conscious understanding of how the song resonates with my subconscious mind but feeling-wise? I don’t feel like it’s negative in that sense. It’s almost like the first part of the song has the singer question his own perception of reality and wether everything he sees truly is real or not, including himself. If it all truly could be so beautiful as he perceives it you know? And the softer 2nd voice is almost like… reassuring him in a way by just stating whats being perceived. Like that softer voice is the man’s own subjective perspective of the reality hes interpreting in a way. And then the second part comes and there’s only one voice. The "main" voice, and he declares how truly real and precious all of this truly is. I can’t quite put it into words, but it’s sort of like an acceptance and even love for all things, despite the aggressive nature of the second part. Just good vibes from this song, at least personally. Resonates really hard.

I'm sitting by a lake But it's not of this earth The water is so clear And the birds are alive A mirror for the sky They see themselves And fly away I'm sitting by a lake The universe is alive I lay down by the river-flow It's a river of stars I'm living by the ocean It's an ocean of light How do you call This place around us It's a world that I once saw In a dream Will you please tell me now If I'm dead or alive Landscapes so bright All around It's a city of light Where who when and why? I think therefore I am I feel like I know this land But it must be so far away... This world is life This "clouds-and-wonders" Is all I need And it will never go You say it's lost I don't believe it This is my vision We can never know This is the earth But ages after I know the world Will overcome its' pain The simple fact I dream about it Already makes it Happen in the rain It's right in front But you don't face it I'm dedicated All my life in me And made of light Our sun is growing Like in the heart of some of us I pray And other lands You will discover This form of life Is not the only one I was a child And I just knew it And now I know The vision came alive

Godlike. I love every piece of material this band has produced. So deep and meaningful in such a shallow, hollow world. Gojira is perfect grounding music. They produce such a range of emotion and truth. It is beautiful.

I believe it's Joe singing very low notes, they often overdub the vocals a lot, which contributes to how big their songs feel, Gojira are amazing :)
