As stated in the manga, Gojo needed three minutes so that in the third battle of the domains he could severely injure sukun, which caused the tomb to collapse. Igojo, in the third battle of the Dremen, the domain barrier was reversed, the weak wall became inside, the strong outside. Gojo wondered why Sukuna kept destroying his domain from the outside (strong) if he could do it from the inside (weak). Sukune needs 3 minutes to destroy the strong wall of the domain. Although he could easily destroy the gojo domain from the inside like before in 20 seconds. Sukuna did not destroy the gojo domain quickly due to maho's adaptation.
