Small Fun fact Im the first episode Goku Black Appears, Goku is seen on the farm collecting lettuces Its a very shy refference to the "First Goku Black", Turles from the movie "Tree of The Might" Since his japanese name (Tāresu) was inspired by a fun joke with the Letucce name (Lettuce - Tullece) For the ones that havent watched the movie, Turles was designed to be what goku could've been, if he didnt hit his head as a child, basically a goku, with darker skin tone, a purple armor and 2 "horns" in his hair (design detail)

So I just realized I haven't seen these particular reactions for TFS, which you would probably enjoy. There are a couple of "TFS Shorts" for Dragon Ball Super, and it covers the arrival of Goku Black as well as some later stuff about Goku's training (I am trying really hard not to spoil). The goku black one you should watch now the other one you should watch after the next arc. That way, you're not spoiling yourself. Both of the shorts are absolutely hilarious I promise you. They were also released before t f s officially decided to end the DBZA series. At the time, they were planning on doing dragon ball super, and so the jokes are still TFS at its prime.

Burma (The joke of her name is Bloomers, which when you pronounce her name is japanese using romaji, It sounds like Bluma. That's also why Trunks's name is Trunks. The brief's family has underwear names that's also why Bulla's name is actually bra. It has to be remembered that the r and l in romaji use to represent the same sound as there is no real r sound in japanese. Also what a lot of people found out with characters whose names were sasuke there are vowels that you only partially pronounce if you pronounce them at all. You and I are both usually those vowels. So when you think about the spelling of kulilin you get something that would sound like krillen. In the cases that you do pronounce u or i you give the other vowels dominance in the word. So with Bulla, for example, you're giving a the dominance.) is a different character altogether. Chi Chi, from dragonball, was set up to be the wife character. Burma, on the other hand, was the teenager with these kids who was exploring the entire world collecting the dragon balls, and having a wish be made for her panties. Burma wasn't just the wife character, and she never will be. Also her being a scientist makes her probably one of the most useful humans. A lot of the shonen that you're more familiar with is shown in manga and anime from after the nineties. A lot of the characters in dragon ball z and dragon ball super are rooted in characters from back in the seventies and eighties. This is a whole different generation of anime. I would compare the character development of female characters to something like Sailor Moon or Card Captor Sakura. Those are at least the same generation as the dragon ball z portion of the dragon ball series, and so they would be much more accurate to compare against. But there were also other Shonen From the seventies eighties and nineties that sported very strong female characters that had a lot of character development Ghost in the Shell is more Shonen anything. Shadow skill is another one where the main character is a young slave boy who's older sister has that strong female character role with a huge amount of development. But both of those are series from the eighties and nineties. When i'm guessing there was more liberalism amongst the manga writers. Berserk is a manga from that generation (80s-90s) that has only been animated in more recent years. In bazark you have a s*** ton of character development from all of the female characters but particularly for Casca. The anime has been following the manga almost to the t so, and all of that character development is the same character development that existed in the manga. I would characterize this storyline as being from the same generation is dragon ball z. The only thing that animation has really added to it with cgi.

They really showcased Trunks’ power in the manga during his exchange with Goku. Trunks went super saiyan 2 after goku went super saiyan 3, and Goku was shocked to see Trunks’ super saiyan 2 was pretty much on par with his super saiyan 3, so he went into god mode for a split second just to end the fight
