Side note: Are we not gunna talk about the manga version where Black and Zamas unfused but thier will was so strong than when trunks finally separated them, BOTH were immortal and could turn into Fusion Zamas? I liked both versions of what they call “Infinite Zamasu”. The anime version felt like a Giygas reference, and the manga version was just a gigantic problem. Ultimately I think the anime version was cooler just for the concept- too bad it lasted all of like two minutes before the Zeno ex machina killed em.

😂Bro, if you think this is a nasty timeline, remember in another timelime Trunks was killed by Cell so he can take his time machine. Effectively getting rid of earth's last protector and the extinction of the earth saiyan's the only one's left in that timeline is Broly and his father and (don't remember if it's cannon, or not) Vageta's brother. Also since there's no more heroes on earth to protect it there's basically no one that can stop Kid buu resurrection.

Beerus only killed Zamasu because he ended up killing Beerus by killing the Supreme Kai (they are linked as creators and destroyers) in a different timeline. Basically needed to get him outta there.

One anime rule I followed when I watched Goku Black do the Divine Lasso. If the explosion scene plays 3 different times, you are defeated & If the explosion scene plays 4 different times. You are dead. So when I saw the scene play 3 times, I knew goku was defeated right there

Beerus has only "solved" that zamasu problem. But anytime after he was present, he showed no interest in actually doing anything. Hell, he revealed that he DID have a way to actually seal zamasu away, but said he didn't do it because he doesn't want them to rely on him. I feel like no matter what, going in with a bias against super makes you form arguments that the show solves. For example, as for why super Saiyan blue isnt ALWAYS used? Its an energy consumption thing. They talk about it in the tournament of power. Why does broly not just "solve everything"? Because he's too dangerous in a fight. Why do they not fuse every time? Because both Goku AND vegeta would rather fight one on one Why beerus doesnt solve every problem? Because he doesnt want the people of earth to just go to him at any problem they face.

Nah Beerus only got involved because his life was also at stake and they couldn't risk Zamasu being revived somehow so erasing him was the only option. Beerus doesn't get involved because Goku and Vegeta would rather deal with the threat themselves which beerus agrees with

32:07 Toei, and even Toriyama's coloring tends to be not consistent. Like Bulma was supposed to have purple hair, but the anime changed it to blue. Then, the anime made the first future trunks purple, despite keeping Bulma with the blue hair. Kid Trunks hair in z was purple, but then Toriyama changed it to Blue in the preview desings, to keep it somewhat consistent with Bulma, but the anime kept the purple hair. Then they made future trunks hair blue, lol. In Toei's defense, Toriyama has painted Trunks hair blue in the past as well, and he said that he just uses whatever color he either rememeber or has at hand at the time, which ended up with things like making "Super Trunks" or "Ascended Saiyan 2 Trunks" hair red, lol. For context, the manga is mostly black and white, but sometimes there was color too, either from the start, or on re-releases.

I think the ending was just a way to show Zeno’s power and make that button useful. Could’ve been handled better cause the doubles future is weird but as long as they leave it alone from now on it’s whatever. I like where Super is going in the manga so hopefully when the anime comes back the plots can be more linear and less convoluted. This arc did provide a lot of cool stuff though.

17:45 I mean, I get what you are saying, but Toriyama didnt really care much about what the anime was doing. Kinda how Krillin's Ex and Daughter ended up having the same name. (I dont think he watched much anime at all, in fact, according to his last award speech) He might have drawn turles at some point, or garlic, but he didnt really did too much input on those ideas storywise for "evil versions of good characters" to be fresh on his mind. To us it was like 20, maybe 10 years, even less if you are into the games and stuff, but to him it was 30-40. Toei with the anime filler/movies, and Bandai with the games, go "hey, bro, we need this, this and this design for characters based on this story, can you hook us up?" and Toriyama goes sure and does it. (Toriyama, for example, thought that Bardock's TV special, was too dark and that he wouldnt write something like that, even though he liked the idea) I doubt he remembers there was an evil goku before, even more so if it was just filler. Plus, dragon ball was not the only thing he was doing, and as I said before, he cared about the manga mostly, the rest was whatever.

One thing I will say about the ending and how that timeline was erased. You said everyone there was punished but that's not true. The only mortals left in that timeline were the resistance group on earth. Everyone else In that timeline is already dead (remember they sabed earth for last) so nobody suffered from what Zeno did except trunks and mai which they just hopped to a alternate timeline... the ending made sense, there was nobody alive in that timeline so why keep it??
