It’s clean, but in reality that’s not in Raditz’ character at all. He was definitely gonna kill Gohan. A lot of fans don’t get nor accept Raditz for The Proud Saiyan Warrior he is. It would’ve been perfect to put Goku & Raditz against a temporary enemy.. identical to Vegeta & The Z fighters on Namek. Raditz would never change on his own. A Saiyan must be forced into conflict identical to The Goku & Piccolo team up in order to save they’re lives. I luv the idea of Raditz & Goku working together, fans are using the wrong method. It’s crazy cool tho.. Raditz is my favorite bcuz not only was he The first Saiyan introduced into DBZ, but he was powerful, had a natural toughness & style, not to mention his sick design.. on top of being Goku’s elder brother. That was always a great concept to me. It’s a shame we never got to see anything beyond what we were given. Raditz is the best.. he deserves so much more.

Back when Dragon Ball SD was a thing, it completely makes sense on Raditz's character... because he got that from Vegeta. Since Raditz had nobody else to look up too, and Nappa surely didn't give a damn, and being the weakest Saiyan alive he needed somebody to motivate him to make him stronger no doubt that Raditz often trained under Vegeta just to feel like he belongs somewhere, but since he never got stronger... Vegeta abandoned him. What you see with Goku and Raditz is the same thing you seen in his relationship with Vegeta: A brotherly relationship.

What if the 2 Saiyans with Nappa seen in the Broly movie are Scarface and Shorty. The pair of Saiyans the Earthlings fight in the Pendulum Room. They were originally part of Vegeta's team in the Frieza force. And the planet they're on in the Pendulum Room is actually the mission they died on. Raditz was injured but survived by staying down and Vegeta & Nappa arrived to late to save them lured away by a fake high power level made to separate them. Their power levels are stated to be 3000 each. Tough but beatable for the post trained Earthlings.

I'm really loving this story it shows to brothers bonding something u never see in dbz kinda reminds me of inuyasha & seshomeru as Bros. I always knew there was some good in Raditz. Broly is born with a power of 10,000 Raditz as an adult has a power of 1,000. Even with that I consider Raditz to be a real legend with underdog traits he's the first outer space warrior to show Goku what real power is.

I have a theory. Raditz was picked to join vegeta and nappa as partners. This gets me knowing that he was pretty strong to even join them. But why was he so weak when the time came? I speculate that raditz was momas boy and would brag to her all the time. At this time, he had something to strive for, a dream! With his parents being much different from regular saiyans, it could be noted that he was loved very much so he must of had a good personality then. However, that all changed when his family died, he became cold and detached and could never progress. Vegeta had and goal while nappa also had a goal, raditz had nothing when his family died! Thus, he gave up and remained weak and would soon die and be forgotten. He had nothing to strive for like everyone else. He was raised different from the rest, vegeta absolutely didn’t care for his parents.
